25.01.2022 Let me tell you... Not working in retail has boosted my mental health 100% And I have weekends to myself! My favourite part of this yoga biz is the community we've created. I often talk to people online who've never even came to my classes and live in different cities and I love it ... Anyway, one of you reminded me that Geocaching exists. So I went to Cooby Dam and found a Geocache with this cute lil @qld_rocks_ in it. If you don't know what Geocache is, you should Google it cos it's so fun and wholesome. What did you get up to this weekend?

25.01.2022 Let's play a game of is it just me or is it the new moon in Capricorn? In all seriousness though... Check out this sunset! I never appreciated sunsets until I was on my yoga teacher training and all my UK friends were rushing to see every sunrise and sunset. I couldn't comprehend why because this is your average sunset here in Australia and they are very much taken for granted. Anyway, turns out that in the UK there's no good sunsets because everyone lives in the city, the weather is always bad etc. So since then, I ALWAYS make sure to appreciate sunsets, something I've always taken for granted as constant yet so many people long to see their beauty

24.01.2022 Coffee question of the week What activities put you in a flow state? Last night I was so immersed in my uni assignment that time just stood still and I was enjoying myself so much that by the time I finally checked my watch it was almost 9pm and hours had passed me by without me even realising! ... This also happens when I'm doing my beloved puzzles. It's just pure joy, contentment, focus and almost meditative for me. So have you ever experienced this feeling? If so, what were you doing?

23.01.2022 Keep seeing this meme going around and I have a few things to say I really got back in to yoga after falling chronically ill. I was on a GP management plan and he sent me off to see the occupational therapist. I could hardly move at this point from severe fatigue. I was confused??? The OT explained that I was at a point where I was prone to falls. Being told this really hurt me. Honestly, the previous year I was so fatigued and out of it that I fell down my stairs and broke... my foot and sprained my other ankle and was in a wheelchair and then on crutches for months! Being told this woke something up in me and I knew I had to trrrrryyyyyyyy be a little bit more mobile so I didn't have another fall. And that's how I recommenced yoga after chronic illness Yoga is really good for improving balance as well! We're always commenting on how each other's balance has improved immensely since we began practicing together. And thus, balance helps prevent falls too. Come for some fall prevention on Thursday HAHA (but seriously): https://www.metimeyoga.com.au/eve/pay-what-you-feel-yoga-48

22.01.2022 I teach in a really strict facility. It's also outdoors essentially. As I showed up to teach at midday, so too did the gardeners with their 2 x lawn mowers and 2 x whippers. I rolled my eyes and internally was like "here we go" because I knew I'd have to teach OVER it. I did, in fact, teach over it. And by the end I couldn't even hear the bloody whipper snipper that was going off right beside me because I was in the zone And I also used it as an opportunity to highlight th...e point that we can't control the chaos outsides ourselves but we can do things to manage the chaos inside ourselves. My job here is done. Boom. Mic drop. I walk out of that class a boss (in my imaginative mind). Something I need to learn myself is how to notice the early signs my mind and body is becomjng complete chaos before it gets to that point. How's your chaos? Come join us for some inner calm this week https://www.metimeyoga.com.au/eve/pay-what-you-feel-yoga-57

21.01.2022 It's my aunties birthday today and she's the best sport, as you can tell How do we feel about extended side angle shape? I feel like this is the most dynamic stretch because it's strengthening, learning how to stabilise through your lower body while opening your upper body, it's balancing, it's an amazing stretch, it's everything You can always lengthen or shorten your stance to something that feels comfortable for you. Also, you can always straighten your front leg as mu...ch as you need too. What's your thoughts on this shape? Let me know below

19.01.2022 Shape of the day brought to you by my cousin, Connor I was practicing yoga for years before anyone ever told me you could have your knees bent in this shape and that the real purpose was to lengthen through the spine, not have your feet flat on the ground. It was so liberating to hear that because I thought I was just "bad" at yoga. You can't be bad at yoga because it's about looking internally, not externally. Liberate yourself from strict alignment and ego and further you...r practice of looking internally How do you do this shape? Knees bent or straight? What feels best in your body today? Have you ever explored trying both options and seeing what works best for you? Let me know below

18.01.2022 Pretty little sunset at Gatton today And now I can say I've taught yoga on a squash court Anyone else got a cool place to teach yoga in Gatton? I'm down! I'm always in Gatton teaching when I'm not teaching my regular class on top of this mountain we live on.... Come join me for mountain yoga tomorrow night (which literally just means here in Toowoomba haha: https://www.metimeyoga.com.au/eve/pay-what-you-feel-yoga-45

18.01.2022 I've been bad at telling you about this but alas, the class was packed to the rafters last week so thank god I didn't advertise it more On that note I must say... It's absolutely essential to book. And quickly. As classes are filling up super quick and I don't want you to miss your spot. I'm a last minute gal so I'm just stressing for the last minute people like myself

18.01.2022 I need this reminder right now! Anyone else? I'm not good at recognising how rapidly declining my mental health is until I literally cannot discern reality from paranoia and anxiety. So I'm gonna acknowledge I'm having a shitty week. Take a day off work tomorrow to watch ridiculous reality tv and then come chill with you all tomorrow night ... Yoga and the community we've created bring me the biggest joy every week so I'm not changing that for anything. Can't wait to see you all rejuvenated. Might even do a face mask https://www.metimeyoga.com.au/eve/pay-what-you-feel-yoga-48

18.01.2022 Self care week at UQ resi halls Thanks for having me I was feeling so drained today so I bought chocolate, had a shower, drove to Gatton listening to all my fav tunes and then practiced yoga with 30 fab vets in the making on a beauty arvo.... I truly feel like practicing yoga this arvo in good company was exactly the self care I need too How are you prioritizing self care this week? You can always join us for yoga + laughs: https://www.metimeyoga.com.au/eve/pay-what-you-feel-yoga-45

17.01.2022 Good morning, Don't forget that every time you attend yoga for the next six weeks, you go in the draw to get a float therapy session :)

16.01.2022 I need your help! How would you sum up our Thursday night eventful yoga classes? I feel like they aren't your typical but how to explain?... A coffee will go to a good answer

16.01.2022 It's coffee Tuesday tomorrow I'll think of a question and post it tomorrow morning and then you have until 7:30pm to answer before I pick a winner! In the meantime, if you have a spare moment would you consider leaving me a Google review pretty please? I know it's inconvenient and I'm the laziest person in the world myself but it helps my grow ... And it helps keeps costs down the more people we have per class, in all honesty. Which is v important when it's pay what you feel

16.01.2022 My heart n soul Thanks for humoring all my weird poses tonight friends. Someone walked in tonight and told me they were tired and wouldn't be doing much tonight. Which is completely fine by me - do you!!! But then they said they come for the community and company. It melted my heart nicest thing I've ever heard so thank you!... And on that note, if you ever have nice things to say please leave me a Google review. You just search "me time yoga" and then write a review. That's how new people seem to find me too so it helps a bunch

16.01.2022 I forgot to post my xmas miracle photo!!! The two Cathy/Kathy's became friends It's not actually a xmas miracle I just use that term for everything because it's exciting. Since we missed yoga this week, does anyone have a real xmas miracle/good news story to share? I'd love to hear!

14.01.2022 I've had a lot of questions about booking so I've made this post to explain the how and why on pricing and booking If you have any more questions, pls feel free to comment or message me.

14.01.2022 My anxiety was telling me I couldn't do yoga on the beach because people would look at me but we did it!!! We got there!!!!

14.01.2022 Riddle me this: have you ever been to a yoga class where this delightful shape hasn't been offered to you? The CORE of every asana class, I swear. And I'm not mad. NOTHING beats this shape. I also like to invite movement in to cat cow by bending in to my elbows, moving my hips from side to side, or whatever other fluid movement feels good on that day. How about you? Is cat cow the OG shape to you as well?

13.01.2022 Already so many of you have booked so thank you I can't wait to finish off my week & start my long weekend with you all laughing and stretching Link to book:... https://www.metimeyoga.com.au/eve/pay-what-you-feel-yoga-46 See more

12.01.2022 No yoga this week... As I'm too busy trying to spot tree kangaroos, driving to the end of all the sealed roads in Queensland, exploring private croc infested beaches, and trying to figure out how the beach and the rainforest meet at a bloody scenic highway This is at Kulki on Eastern Kuku Yalanji country.

12.01.2022 Free coffee up for the taking Question: what do you like about yoga? What makes you keep doing it? Rules:... - Comment below - Must be following this page - I'll pick a winner at random - Must collect coffee by Friday arvo See more

11.01.2022 In this shape, we're imagining having a "flat back" so much so that we could rest a soy latte on our back like a table I always say to also think that you're peering in to a pond just in front of you, gazing at your marvellous reflection this brings your weight forward a little more than usual and opens up your hamstrings a bit more too. I also always remind everyone that your neck is an extension of your spine so that's why the pond analogy is a goodie. If you want to d...iscover more shapes, and more dorky "cuing" , it's all the rage Thursday arvo at 5:30pm. Book via this link: https://www.metimeyoga.com.au//new-year-new-intentions-ent See more

11.01.2022 My most guilty pleasure is sneaking in to resorts I'm not staying at and spending the day there this is a minor resort trespass for me but usually I just rock up, act confident and no one ever questions me while I'm frolicking in luxury pools and private beaches that I could never afford to pay to stay in. I'm talking usually it's resorts with security guards mostly in Bali who I end up becoming besties with and they let me in and then take pics for me HAHAHAH What's your guilty pleasure?

11.01.2022 Thank you I'm thinking next week will be the last official week of yoga and then the 17th will be a shorter class and then from La Taste since every time we walk out I mention how good it smells . How does that sound?

11.01.2022 Yoga pup! Anyone elses puppos like to help them do yoga? How do I make a dog yoga event? That would be my life goals complete! ... Here's regular yoga if you're keen (no dogs involved tho ): https://www.metimeyoga.com.au/eve/pay-what-you-feel-yoga-48

10.01.2022 Happy Sunday friends Every year you know I gather up donations for back to school supplies for children who need them. This year with everything that's happened I thought it might be a little harder to come by donations. So I have started Mystery Date With A Book with all profits going towards purchasing school supplies for marginalised families.... You get a fab book with a great rating on goodreads and kids get school books. What's better? To support this initiative can you please like, share, promote, and purchase my books? Any help is so appreciated. And if you have contemporary books with amazing reviews, I'd love to know too ;) The page is Mystery Date With A Book Toowoomba

10.01.2022 Yoga tomorrow arvo Also, thanks to all the people messaging me checking why I had put the booking for a Friday. When I say that this yoga is community led, I truly mean it! I just messed up the day and 3 lovely humans have messaged me already asking me about it. I love how supportive and helpful everyone is. Additionally, Cathy has asked if anyone is available for a non-yoga-ery coffee date at Dan's cafe. Its school holidays for all the teachers!!!! Does anyone have a day a...nd time in mind? Anyone welcome :) I'll ask at yoga tomorrow night too but if anyone is interested/has days pls comment below. Here's the link to book for tomorrow: https://www.metimeyoga.com.au/eve/pay-what-you-feel-yoga-47

10.01.2022 In other AMAZING news!!!! This legend just made his 50th blood donation this arvo and then came around to celebrate with us all The level of commitment to donating and still coming to join us amazes me!

10.01.2022 Hope everyone had an enjoyable and relaxing weekend. I went to Cooby for a hike and took the long way home to see this amazing sunset Show me pics of what you got up to!

09.01.2022 Good afternoon friends, I've just had a cancellation for our session a bit later on so if anyone is feeling up for a stretch, here's the link to book: https://www.metimeyoga.com.au//new-year-new-intentions-ent

09.01.2022 Friends, Tonight we decided that we'd have a coffee meet up this Saturday. DETAILS:... 10:30am Saturday @ Abbey's Cottage Cafe in the Bernoth Centre Everyone and anyone + their dog is invited (yes the cafe is DOG FRIENDLY!!!) I truly don't mind if you've been to 100 of our classes or none. It would be nice to meet you regardless. Ps: there's vegan slice ;)

08.01.2022 Don't forget about coffee q of the week!

08.01.2022 Guess where this view is in Toowoomba I have a dog that I just go and take for walks sometimes and she lives in a much better location than I do But it got me thinking! Isn't mindfulness what dogs do on walks? Sniff everything, go slowly, take in the scenery. And yet we often get pissed at dogs and tell them to hurry up when they are just living their best mindful life!

06.01.2022 What's everyone up to today? For those that celebrate, I hope you had a wonderful Christmas I got my family each a paint by the numbers and it's mesmerising and life-changing. Usually we argue over petty stuff but today we can't even form a sentence over this zen activity These were $10 at kmart and includes all the paints and 2 paintbrushes. I can't tell you how impressed I am!... And I just want to highlight and normalise having a trash time too. There's been many a Christmas I have spent alone, or with other people's families for various reasons. I know Christmas is a time associated with a lot of trauma and family dysfunction and it's something that no one really talks about over the disgustingly cute social media photos. I'll put my hand up and tell you that every year it's just my goal not to cry. Not that crying is bad or anything but I'm trying to make new memories associated with the 25th of December. So if you ever need a reminder of what's "normal", message me and I'll normalise your feelings and experiences

06.01.2022 Fresh warm yazidi bread!!! Life bringing me blessings and joy!!! So for months now we've been working up a good relationship with our neighbours through smiles and waves. We play ball with Bindi everyday in the field across from our house. The kiddos are petrified of dogs but after many many months observing bindi, the other day they asked me if they could pat her. They were gleaming with pride at working up the courage to pat her. That arvo we stayed out chatting and hanging... out with Bindi. It was genuinely one of the most joyous days of my year. Laughing with kids in the park, being silly. Since then they come out every day and throw Bindi's ball for me. Today they said their dad wants to know if we want some bread. Community!!!! Heck yes, I want some bread. And it was the most delicious, heartfelt bread I've ever enjoyed It really is the small things. Every week at yoga before we start, someone will offer up a "good news story of the week". Often we lose sight of the small things but when they are all added up it leads to a big life (filled with Yazidi bread and hommus!!) Come hear some more good news on Thursday with us: https://www.metimeyoga.com.au/eve/pay-what-you-feel-yoga-57

05.01.2022 Hi, it's rainforest bikini girl just popping by to say Normalise the period bloat I have my period and I'm so bloated and usually I'd be far to in my head to think about wearing a bikini but you know what? One day you just gotta say screw it, and do it ... On this hike I was thinking about body positivity and how crap it makes me feel. I don't think I'll ever be frothin over my body, especially because sometimes it is the source of my misery being chronically ill. BUT I can commit to body neutrality. Essentially, I have a body. It's an alright skin suit. It does most of the things I need it to do. Basically what I'm always saying in yoga about non-judgmentally observing your thoughts. That's me with my bod and my period bloat today I'm on Kuku Yalanjicountry in this pic btw, and it's divine.

04.01.2022 What an arvie, that purple sky stayed out until the fire twirling + drummers kicked off and played an amazing show for us all.

04.01.2022 Peak pose for a peak class Despite being wildly busy this week, I've been so happy! Reflecting back on this, I think it's just cos I taught and therefore did so much yoga I've also been really jealous this week which is hilarious as I upload a professional photographer picture of me teaching to 30 people. All of this combines to be a yoga teachers idea of success (I personally think anyway). ... And I wanted to be vulnerable and share that with you on such a beautiful picture because I think it's necessary. Social media isn't real. And it's where all my jealousy comes from haha! I'm like aw heck why aren't I hitting all these peaks when others are, why don't I have a yoga newsletter, why don't I have a training in this. And then when I examine all my why's it's cos I actually don't value those things AND I have a chronic illness and mental health issues So anyway, here's another social media pic to add to the highlight reel that doesn't provide any context as to how much struggle and time I put in to life to even get a pic like this

03.01.2022 Laid out in the field today ~enjoying time~ How good is having time to do nothing. It doesn't happen often but I want to increase this time in 2021. I was listening to my fav podcast Bobo and Flex. It's essentially a podcast on critical thinking, philosophy and current social issues. The hosts have such good insight and chemistry. ... What's your podcast recommendations? What have you listened to the most in 2020? I need new podcasts!

03.01.2022 I've included two pictures as the first pic demonstrates more of a "baby cobra" with my uncle's elbows bent and the second pic is cobra I always like to start with baby cobra and listen to my body to determine if it needs/wants to come up further in to cobra. This shape can put a lot of pressure of your lower back so that's why it's really important to listen to your body and work with it I also love to look over each shoulder when I'm in cobra as it feels like the juici...est stretch to me haha! I'm always like ahhhhhhhhhhhh magic More shapes like this on Thursday: https://www.metimeyoga.com.au//new-year-new-intentions-ent

03.01.2022 Lovely sunset tonight! Did anyone else catch it. It was so pink! Reminder: Coffee meet up tomorrow at 10:30am at Abbey's Cottage Cafe in the Bernoth Centre ... Can't wait to see you
