23.01.2022 Thank you the.weeklytimes for today’s news article!

23.01.2022 Happy Easter from the team at Metung Hot Springs! We had a jam packed weekend, first welcoming Empty Esky and a group of fabulous journalists to the site. And then, as part of NGV Melbourne Design Week Metung Hot Springs hosted around 80 people on an immersive tour around the site which finished with a dip in our pop up hot spring pools. Great weather, great people and a wonderful Easter!

20.01.2022 Thank you East Gippsland Marketing Inc for inviting Metung Hot Springs to host this morning’s virtual business breakfast. You can watch the replay below.

20.01.2022 Thank you to East Gippsland Marketing Inc and the Bairnsdale Advertiser for the great write up in Wednesday’s paper! Edit: Sorry, for some reason it cropped the image when it was posted from Instagram? I have re-posted in comments below.

11.01.2022 We can’t wait for these trails to be established in Omeo. It will certainly reinforce the link between East Gippsland and North East Victoria. Imagine bathing in a Hot Spring after a day on the bike!

10.01.2022 The Metung hot springs group along with newly appointed architects Splinter Society Architecture are extremely excited to be working with Matt Sykes from Regeneration projects. Together we will create an integrated regeneration strategy to guide design and development. Conscious design and action to provide environments for nature and people to coexist in harmony is at the heart of the hot springs experiences we create. Planting an initial 2000 trees in June marked the begin...ning of the process that will see the emergence of a hot springs wellness village designed for all people of all ages to connect with themselves and each other. Charles Davidson Co-founder of Peninsula Hot Springs "To take Metung Hot Springs beyond sustainability and into regeneration is a journey that we're really excited about. The site has so much potential but also needs to be treated with respect. We're delighted to be working with Regeneration Projects so that we can create the most positive impact for our community, the Gippsland Lakes and our region's economy." Rachel Bromage & Adrian Bromage, Co-founders Metung Hot Springs Here’s a snapshot: 1. Community wellbeing (hot springs, community gardens and walking trails as DIY health promotion activities) 2. Ecosystem restoration (in alignment with the @unitednations 2021-2030 Decade on Ecosystem Restoration & Biodiversity) 3. Circular economics (conscious geothermal water management, local material sourcing and low-carbon transport connections) 4. Cultural diversity (celebration of global bathing cultures, Gunai Kurnai Aboriginal community partnerships and leadership in promoting regenerative living for all ages) Watch this space for some exciting community engagement opportunities!

10.01.2022 We were delighted to welcome the honourable Mary-Anne Thomas MP to the Metung Hot Springs site. After a lunch presentation at Kings Cove Metung Golf Course & Function Center we conducted a tour of the site via golf cart and discussed the benefits the project will bring to our region.

08.01.2022 To celebrate #worldbathingday we’re jumping in Lake King, but wouldn’t it be nice if we could warm up in a floating sauna or hot spring afterwards!

02.01.2022 Victoria’s first Hot Springs! We can’t wait to bring them back to Metung!

02.01.2022 Who remembers the old Metung Hot Pools? They were such an iconic attraction for Metung and were enjoyed by tourists and locals alike. It was so disappointing for our region when they were closed in the 1990’s.... I recall bathing with my family in the pools when I was a young girl. It was always such a delightful experience! So that this history isn’t lost forever, I am trying to pull together as much information as possible. If you have any stories, photos or any information that could be used to help compile this document, I would love to hear from you!
