22.01.2022 Hello Students and Parents, if all goes well we should be able to reopen for classes on 13 June with the start of Stage 2. As we get closer I will clarify the requirements, guidelines and changes.

16.01.2022 Hello, I hope everyone is well. I am really looking forward to the time when we can restart MFA Archery classes in some form. If anyone is interested in any of the other classes we have online (Zoom) please let me know. The horse riders may be interested in the Pilates classes (Monday and wednesday at 5, and friday morning at 10). Alternatively, just let me know when would be a good time.

14.01.2022 Just a reminder that tonight's class is Combat Archery. Regular class fees/membership applies. Please bring a drink and casual clothes. Sensei John has been amped up to shoot you all for the last 2 weeks!

13.01.2022 MFA Archery members, from June 1st 2019 a new lesson schedule will begin. There will be no Tuesday night training. There will only be 1 lesson per week, on a Thursday, from 6:00pm -7:30pm. The Thursday night lesson has been extended to allow for the larger class size. Lesson price remains the same. If you have direct debit setup for 2 lessons a week please contact Swordsmen during office hours to adjust your fees. This must be done during May to prevent any extra charges being debited. We are also not taking in any additional members until we guage class sizes and availability throughout June.

07.01.2022 Whilst we eagerly await news of restictions easing and indoor sports clubs being allowed to operate again, all be it with social distancing restrictions, let us remember we can still practice our shooting technique by going through the 7 steps. 1. Nock 2. Position feet 3. Thumb... 4. Aim 5. Draw and anchor (count to 2) 6. DO NOT FIRE slowly release the tension 7. Lower arms Repeat. Tips: Ensure your shoulders are down and back Elbows should not be sticking out If possible, do it in front of a mirror or have someone else watch you and provide feeback on your positioning Push with both arms at the same time when you draw Always anchor in the same place

05.01.2022 Remember that we are closed today for ANZAC Day.

03.01.2022 Welcome back archery!

02.01.2022 It is with great sadness that we announce that we will be temporarily closed from Today until the end of the school holidays in compliance with the gym/indoor sports venue policy stated by the Prime Minister. Our MFA family is strong and resilient and we thank you for your continued support through this difficult time. Stay safe and healthy. Master John Tysoe and Master Cheri Parks.

02.01.2022 Hello, under the revised QLD plan we are now able to have classes. We must comply with social distancing rules, hygiene guidelines and limit the number of people in the room to only 20. Classes will be on tonight at 6 and 7. The first class will end at approximately 6:50 to allow for those students to depart before the next class arrives. If you are in the 7pm class please arrive at 6:55. Thanks!

01.01.2022 Well worth watching!
