20.01.2022 Scottish Hero Celebration preparations are well on the way for Saturday October 12th. Any descendants of the passengers on this ship for either 1886 or 1879 voyages please contact the Institute's email address [email protected] to let us know if you can join us. Thank you.

12.01.2022 A "BIG THANK YOU" to everyone who attended the 2019 SCOTTISH HERO Descendants Reunion Celebration. A special thanks to all attendees and volunteers for your support on this historical event. Many thanks to Ian Brown for doing a fantastic job as our MC. Well done and hopefully you will support us on our future events. Also, we are particularly grateful to our Mayor George Seymour for launching the book Scottish Hero, Shelley and Rod Hansen for their poetry recital, Boni Holme...s for promoting the event, Ailsa Head for Heritage Walk and the Maryborough District Family History Society Inc. for the Cemetery Tours. Thank you very much for your continuous support. It was a big success and hopefully will continue for the next 50 years!!!
