20.01.2022 Hi everyone, As a result of Covid 19, the WA Government has passed legislation which provides some protection for small business Tenants affected by the pandemic. It restricts the actions that Landlords can take in certain circumstances. We’ve prepared a summary of the effect of the legislation.... 14.01.2022 Happy 11th Anniversary to MGB Legal!

12.01.2022 Commercial Tenancy Update The WA State Government has just announced that the emergency period during which Landlords may not take action to evict qualifying tenants, and the period for the Code of Conduct for commercial leasing to apply, has been extended until 28 March 2021. We previously shared a summary of the provisions to you all. The regulations are being drafted now, but if you need advice as to how this is likely to impact you, please contact us and we will assist you.

11.01.2022 The offices of MGB Legal will be closed on the afternoon of Thursday 19 December. We will also close for the Christmas break from 5.00 pm Friday 20 December, reopening on 6 January 2020. We hope you have an enjoyable Christmas and New Year.

10.01.2022 MGB Legal advises that we remain operational during this time of uncertainty. We will continue to offer legal services as needed to our clients in our usual areas. We are, however, following the guidelines issued by the government on social distancing. Therefore, except in the case of documents that require witnessing where there is no other option than to see us in person, we cannot undertake face to face meetings. We have commenced alternative meeting techniques, such as the use of Zoom for video conferencing, as well as phone and email as usual. We encourage everyone to stay safe during these difficult times and look forward to being able to assist where we can.
