The REAL reason it takes 2 years for a gym to get profitable is because they spent $1k/mo on marketing for 24 months - instead of compressing it to $4k/mo for 6 months.... . Why not spend that same $24,000 4x faster, Get the same amount of leads in 1/4 the time, And be profitable within half a year instead of two full years? (And burn far less cash in the red zone because of it?) . Failing to allocate adequate budget towards marketing activities is the death of too many businesses. Don't cheap out on the 10% of your expenses that drives 100% of your revenue... Marketing. Cut some other expense like new equipment or inefficient staffing instead... Shiny new equipment without any leads equals shiny new SECOND HAND equipment for the person who buys it when you CLOSE. Play smart.
