17.01.2022 If you enjoyed the Intra-Club Carnival on Sunday, there are lots of options for you to join our Surf Sports Team across the season at external events. Under 8's and above. 2 months to go until Bunbury!!!!!!! 23rd and 24th of January is the annual Country Carnival. This carnival brings together the city clubs with the country clubs and harnesses a team atmosphere. Under 8's and above.... This season it will be held in Bunbury. It promises to be a fantastic and inclusive carnival. I can't stress how much this can add to your child's Nipper experience. The emphasis is on competition for those that way inclined and team fun and camaraderie for all. There is a bit of guess work because the official program hasn't been released yet but going off last season's schedule, the Under 11 events would be on the Saturday 23rd January. There is no Nippers at the club on that weekend. You could just go for the Saturday and make a day of it or stay for the whole weekend. Start thinking about at least one event to aim for: Beach Sprints Beach Flags Board Race Surf Swim Race Cameron Relay 1km Beach Run Keep the date free and stay tuned for more details. For more info, see Teagan at the club, talk to one of the coaches or email [email protected]

07.01.2022 R U Ok? Today is R U Ok day. Please take a moment to check in on your family, colleagues, friends and even yourself! We are all on different journeys in this life and have all have issues that we are dealing with - what we often see on the exterior is not necessarily what is going on underneath - the simple act of asking someone if they are ok and providing them an opportunity to talk without judgment can often make a significant difference. What next - there is a bit more... to just asking - what if someone is not okay? There are three easy steps: 1. Listen with empathy 2. Encourage the person to action 3. Check in and follow up. For more information on R U OK day go to https://www.ruok.org.au. R U OK?
