22.12.2021 On this day 199 years ago, the firm of Duncan Dunbar & Sons was created. Dunbar Wharf in Fore Street (now Narrow Street) was headquarters for the business which by 1856 was the largest fleet of sailing ships the world ever saw. It covered the transition of fuel from wood to coal and motive power from wind to steam.

The Covid lockdown has had a delaying effect but we have worked around it and minimised the delay to a few weeks at most. The book should be out by the end of August at the latest.
