25.01.2022 From 1945 "Autumn Leaves" music by Joseph Kosma and English lyrics by Johnny Mercer. This song is originally in French, entitled "Les Feuilles Mortes" with lyrics by Jacques Prévert. This is a version based on the recording by famous Jazz/Bebop trumpeter Miles Davis from 1958. It's exciting to be playing a bit of trumpet again A bit of an improved section in the middle, the chord changes in this one are pretty friendly so you can't go too wrong...
24.01.2022 Another interpretation of a Miles Davis recording, based on his 1957 release from the album "'Round About Midnight. I definitely fudged the ending for those who aren't familiar with the track...I'm not up to blowing out a high D clearly yet, cut me some slack coz I haven't played properly in 7 years "Bye Bye Blackbird" written in 1926 by Mort Dixon & Ray Henderson.
