This is your chance to enjoy City Winery's famous dry aged charcuterie, wine matched cheeses, house baked breads and cultured butter, as well as a range of incredibly delicious and affordable meals in your home! Furthermore, during t...he droughts and floods, City Winery remained it's commitment to supporting our local farmers. Our chefs would text the farmers each day to see if they had rain... Our chefs would change our menu weekly to ensure we could purchase what was fresh, directly from the farm gate. Our owners have continued to hand over The Winery once a month to small wineries in Stanthorpe and the Granite Belt so that we could support small operations that required face to face access with us city folk. As you all know we were meant to celebrate the 20th lunch on the 31st of March at The Calile Hotel. However of course due to covid-19 the event was put on hold. Thank you to everyone for your understanding and continued support. A new date of Tuesday the 28th of July was announced following the postponement of the March lunch. I have r...eceived SO MANY messages over the last couple of weeks in regards to the details of the next lunch. I just wanted to let you know that I’ll be making an announcement today at 4.00pm on my stories with the details for the next lunch! And to get the good times rolling, we are going to have a mini competition! The first person to guess where the next lunch is going to be (unfortunately it won’t be at The Callie for this lunch...) will win their seat at the next lunch on me valued at $159! 02.01.2022 As most of you will currently be experiencing, this COVID-19 (Coronavirus) pandemic is wreaking havoc on our wedding and event industry. Following the Government’s announcement to ban all mass gatherings of 500 people or more, and now the latest figure at 100, a vast majority of all events have been postponed or cancelled over the coming months. As a result, these events have not only been cancelled, but so to have the livelihoods of those running, working at, and planning t...hose events. The heavy financial and social impacts of this virus, and these decisions are currently being felt, and will be for some time. One of the recommendations from the Government was to keep a distance of 1.5m from other people, and of course no hugging or kissing. Like all Australians, we will be listening to and adhering to these instructions moving forward. We are taking this virus seriously and understand the need to stop the spread, and there is just no way we could hold a fabulous Ladies Lunch without kissing and hugging! The lunch is a chance for our beloved industry to come together to relax, dine, party and dance to celebrate the industry we love so much. Unfortunately, I feel the time isn’t appropriate to be celebrating whilst those around us are struggling and going through one of the most difficult times in their careers. In saying that, in times like these we need to show each other support, compassion and HOPE for that WHEN we beat the spread of this virus, and we can get back to (working ourselves to the bone 24/7) business as usual, things will be better than ever. Whilst postponing the 20th celebration of the Ladies Lunch is a difficult decision, it is nowhere near as hard as what some of us are feeling at the moment. To show the first signs of HOPE, and to add something to look forward to - I’m happy to advise that we have already secured the next date for Wedding Ladies Who Lunch with the Occasional Guy. The lunch will be rescheduled to Tuesday 28 July at the same location - The Calile Hotel. For those who have already paid for their ticket to the next Ladies Lunch, and cannot attend on the 28th of July, or no longer wish to attend, I will of course be happy to provide you with a full refund. For those who can make the next lunch, and would like to attend, I am happy to simply hold onto your payment and your spot at the next lunch so you are all confirmed! If you didn’t have a ticket for the next lunch but would love to attend on the 28th of July, and get that event in your calendar for WHEN we all bounce back - RSVP’s are now open. I would like to reiterate that times are tough, and they could get tougher. So please, now is the time to make sure those around you know you are here for them, you are willing to support them, and ensure hope is there. MWAH. MT
