15.01.2022 first time blue and gold parents didn't go so well unfortunately they had 3 fetile eggs she sat like a champ till the end baby 1 smashed and died, baby 2 was not so good very small an not well I fought for 2 days to save him but his insides just didn't work, wasn't giving them a chance with egg 3 was placed in incubator and lucky as he wouldn't have gotten out of the egg he was jammed in there that tight his foot was up around his beak, he/she came into the world at 5.08am this morning weighing 21 grams, more eggs from another set of parents hatching as we speak
15.01.2022 Morning all, just thought I would touch base as breeding season is starting first of all I would like to apologise to anyone who has received a reply from me if it seemed short, Im getting asked the same questions everyday from 100s of people and it was just abit much for me to handle with the very recent passing of my sister... I don't mind questions dont get me wrong am happy to answer but I'm putting in this post the common questions I'm been asked continually, I dont hold a waiting list due to to many time wasters in the past when I have babies I post on my wall baby macaws are leg ringed at 21 days then dna is done once results are back babies can then be secured, there will be no macaw babies ready till at least new year as it takes 25 days to hatch then the minimum age of 4 months before weaned

10.01.2022 eggs in the nest box should have started hatching yesterday checked this morning as I couldn't hear chirping 1 eggs smashed cant see movement in the egg have repaired and put in incubator hoping for a miracle

09.01.2022 omg omg things are looking promising for my first brought macaws Gorgeous and Frankie to maybe breed for the first time ever late in this season they have been getting a little cranky at me lately and Frankie has been going in the box when I inspect, I just put fresh branches in threw the door for them as I normally do and I just got opened up by both of them
07.01.2022 abit over a week ago my incubator with macaw eggs in it stopped working, 1 of those eggs is still viable as I moved it into my hatcher and had my alarm set every 2 hours 24 hours a day to turn the egg manually, I quickly ordered 2 more incubators as I needed 1 asap 1 arrived this morning the other 1 hasnt moved from its state. Long story short I thought I would try the power supply in the incubator that stopped working with a clutch of eggs in it and low and behold it works so once I buy another power supply cord I will have 3 working Brinsea's lol
