25.01.2022 Just heard Cameron Milford’s new album. It’s terrific.

24.01.2022 Kayleigh lives in QLD - she’s been practicing singing ‘My Dad’s Shoes’ with her dad Heath. She’s sent me this letter - I think that I have a support act lined up for when the borders open up to touring again (ps. Thank you, Kayleigh, your letter really brightened my day)

20.01.2022 Legendary songwriter, performer and all round lovely human being - if you previously ‘liked’ his page, get onto this one. If you are yet to experience the brilliance of this Australian songwriting giant, click ‘like’ now :-)

18.01.2022 So lovely to have this little moment playing with my extraordinarily talented friend, Jacob McGuffie, before we had to go back into Stage 3. Thank you Latrobe Performing Arts for this wonderful opportunity to play.

17.01.2022 So lovely to spend time in Gippsland with Jacob McGuffie and my good friend Brett Tippet. 7pm Thursday night - follow the link below to watch the stream :-)

16.01.2022 Another wonderful new song by best mate Matt Glass, produced by Myles Mumford and with a beautifully shot video by Sean Kirkwood. Legendary team!

For my dad - on the first Father's Day since his passing See more

14.01.2022 My clever friend Stuart Coupe has just written this wonderfully well-researched, thoughtfully considered biography about Paul Kelly. It arrived in the post to brighten a particularly dark Melbourne day. Thank you, Stuart! You don’t know how much I needed this lift today...

11.01.2022 Hi all, Some (insert unmentionable words here) seems to have hacked into my facebook page and has been commenting on comments that people have made. They seem to be trying to lure people into 'messaging my page direct'. I have absolutely no idea what they want or what this will do... I apologise in advance. Clearly, someone has a red and black shirt fetish and wants to impersonate a middle aged country singer - so you know he must be really sick!!! If anyone can help me - pm me. Though, if you are the loser who is doing this then... go traveling outside of the 5k radius without your mask on!

11.01.2022 Wonderful that 'My Dad's Shoes' has been included on Raechel Whitchurch's special Father's Day playlist. Thank you, Raechel. So lovely to sit on a playlist next to your beautiful tribute to your dad

11.01.2022 My Kiwi friend Kerryn Fields just released this song. It is bloody brilliant. She’s a legend - what a voice and what a writer! She’s such an amazing artist, that we are likely to pretend that she’s Australian before too long...

09.01.2022 Proud to announce the release of a new single and music video this Friday. Thanks, Sean Kirkwood for the photography and Craig Kelly Bass for the design. ‘Be There’ from ‘The Weir’ out Friday 4th September

08.01.2022 NEW SINGLE AND VIDEO RELEASE. I wrote this song for my son, but it has taken on a new significance. Like you, there are people I love who I can't be with right now. Today (4th September) would’ve been mum’s 70th birthday. Mum and dad had always been there for their boys, so this feels like the right way to commemorate this first birthday since their passing ‘When the road is long, When your heart is heavy, When you’re looking for a place to take a rest But you can’t see any -... I’ll be there.' Happy birthday, mum. Thank you to Shane Nicholson (production), Sean Kirkwood (direction and cinematography), Lyn Bowtell and Felicity Urquhart (backing vocals).https://lnk.to/MWBeThere

08.01.2022 'The Weir': 11 Weeks in The Music Network Country Hot 50 Chart and hanging in there at #20. Why? Because ABC Radio Australia (ABC Country), KIX Country, 98.9fm For the Best Country, iHeartCountry, Australian Country Radio, Big Country Radio, 88.7 KIK FM, todayscountry94one, ABC Gippsland, ABC South East SA, ABC Riverland, ABC North Coast, ABC North and West, ABC Tropical North, ABC Goulburn Murray, and countless community stations keep playing my song. I can't get around much nowadays, but I'm glad that the title track from my album is still touring around Australia :). Thank you to those presenters and programmers who are sharing the music.

07.01.2022 Well, I'd love to be at Majors Creek Festival right now... because it is such a glorious festival. Second best is playing 'Like I Used To' in the bedroom at home, remembering when I premiered this song at Majors Creek (with my dear friends Lindsay Martin Music and Mandy Connell). Check out The Month of Majors - 30 days playlist on the Majors festival page. I'm proud to be one of the artists contributing to this virtual folk festival :)

07.01.2022 This. JUST AMAZING...

05.01.2022 Thanks Scott Cook. What a beautiful piece of art - music, stories, lyrics, chord charts, photographs, paintings and a little red bookmark... extraordinary! This beautiful love letter from Scott to the world arrived in the post today and made me very happy.
