25.01.2022 The Governor-General and Mrs Hurley visited us at Michelago Public School yesterday.Mr and Mrs Hurley spoke with students about their lives today as well as their hopes for the future. They were struck by the enthusiasm and passion of the young people, as well as the commitment and dedication of their teachers and mentors.

21.01.2022 COVID-19 Tests: Thank you for supporting the school in implementing the new NSW Health and Department of Education measures regarding COVID-19 testing. Please be advised that if your child is tested, and he/she receives a negative test result, you will need to forward a screen shot of your child's negative result to the school email account. The screen shot will need to include the text you received that shares your child's name and date of birth. You will need to wait for your confirmation email from the school before your child can return, and they must not be showing any flu-like symptoms.

21.01.2022 On Fridays our school leaders have been running skill based rotation activities for students in K-5. K-5 students have been learning how to improve their catching, throwing, kicking, balancing and striking with some help and support from their peers. At MPS we provide our leaders with the opportunities to build their confidence and communication skills. Well done guys, you're doing an amazing job!

18.01.2022 Michelago Public School P&C are taking part in the 'Bread Bags to Play Equipment' program Please save all of your bread clips and bags and send them into the school with your children. Every 5kg bin filled with earn the school some additional play equipment for the students! Go carbohydrate mad this autumn and winter and get your bread packaging into the school! ... Collection boxes will appear soon on the school's verandah!

17.01.2022 Have you met Dreadful David? The junior class read this wonderful book with Mrs Cavanagh and then chose a sentence to write from the book. Some of the students even wrote about when Dreadful David came to Michelago!!

17.01.2022 Please make sure that your child has a water bottle that they bring to school with them. We have had a large number of students today who are wanting cups for a drink as they have no water bottle at school. Due to Covid-19 regulations we must discourage this.#Covid

14.01.2022 Michelago Public School with the Council, P&C and Local NSW Police are working on road safety initiatives to ensure the safety of students, families and residents in our community. Newly installed speed checks are in place to remind drivers of the need to slow down and minimise the chance of accidents occurring. Further measures will be implemented in due course.

13.01.2022 The Junior Class have been looking at how people made things in the past. The students have been watching the "Are you tougher than your ancestors?" program. We made butter!!!

12.01.2022 Years 3-6 have been creating amazing Australian Geographical Landscapes. Can you pick which one is which? I'll give you some clues Lord Howe Island, Shark Bay, The Pinnacles, Great Dividing Range, Jenolan Caves, Phillip Island and The Great Barrier Reef.

Thank you to Mrs Tillack for her hard work and for demonstrating such an aptitude for retail! Thank you to our parents who have been so generous and patient during shopping hours.
