24.01.2022 Repost from @women_of_sport_ #heresheis MICHELLE COOPER @michellecooper 'I help people find a way to do the things they think they cannot do, and then I make sure that the organisation facilitates that on a bigger scale. I build high-performing individuals and teams to be able to achieve the organisation's goals. Currently, I’m the Chair of the Board (President) of @triaustralia; Secretary-General of Oceania Triathlon; Women's Committee for World Triathlon; Triathlon... Club founder (SBR Triathlon); a triathlete; and a technical official for the sport. Early on, I wanted to be a psychologist or a diplomat. I basically get to do both of those things every day now anyway! Sport provided me with the community I did not have. I found people who were welcoming and accepting, who were driven and yet supportive. I have seen sport change people’s lives (including mine) and continue to impact them for decades to come. Words to live by? Say yes and then figure out how. I have been inspired by great sport leaders such as Kate Palmer and Anne Gripper. Through what I do, I’d really like to inspire those women who may not have a strong social network such as single parents to see that you can definitely find a new support system within sport to chase your dreams with. Words for my 21-year-old self? Back yourself more and then let people in to help you. You don't need to try to do this alone.’ #womenleadersofsport #inspiration #womenofsport

02.01.2022 Last long-ish run before Cairns shared with some great company ahead of a very important strategy meeting for our sport. Under moody skies we chatted and ran, ticking over 20km comfortably albeit in freezing temperatures (well for two of us not from Tassie!) @triathlonvictoria @hokaoneoneaustralia @wahoofitnessofficial
