25.01.2022 See if you can have some time today to sit back and observe your thoughts without getting too caught up in them.

24.01.2022 At tonights screening of Embrace that has been put on by @geelongwomenswellness and @manageworklife. Body image. What does that mean for you? I believe that our focus should be on gratitude - being grateful for our amazing bodies and all they are capable of. ... We often forget to do this in this day and age where there is so much pressure to look good and be thin. Its also much better to have a focus on health and maintaining a healthy body, however that looks to you. See more

24.01.2022 Full moons are a great time for introspection and releasing what no longer serves us. Is there something that you need to let go of? It could be a relationship, belief, something that happened in the past or even a material possession. Image by @creativeingrid

23.01.2022 Yoga class will run as normal tomorrow night. See you then

21.01.2022 Buddha bowls - also referred to as nourish bowls, rainbow bowls, hippie bowls, yoga bowls and macro bowls - are defined by urban dictionary as a bowl which is packed so full that it has a rounded belly appearance on the top much like the belly of a buddha. The origins of the Buddha bowl according to Dan Zigmond, Zen priest and author of Buddhas Diet, is that "Buddha woke up before dawn every morning and carried his bowl through the roads or paths wherever he wa...s staying. Local people would place food in the bowl as a donation, and at the end he would eat whatever he had been given. So that was the original Buddha Bowl: a big bowl of whatever food villagers had available and could afford to share. It was probably pretty healthy, since Buddha lived before the age of cheap processed food, but it was also probably pretty simple, maybe rice and a simple curry." They are super easy to make, nutritious and colourful. There are no rules when it comes to preparation, just add whatever inspires you or whatever foods you have lying including a range of textures, flavours, colours and nutrients. Ideally it should have a good serving of healthy fats, protein and colourful plant-based foods to give it a good nutritional content. 19.01.2022 Stop spending all day obsessing, cursing, perfecting your body like its all youve got to offer the world. Your body is not your art, its your paintbrush. Whether your paintbrush is a tall paintbrush or a thin paintbrush or a stocky paintbrush or a scratched up paintbrush is completely irrelevant. What is relevant is that YOU HAVE A PAINTBRUSH which can be used to transfer your insides onto the canvas of your life where others can see it and be inspired and comforted by it. 15.01.2022 Sukhasana - easy cross-legged position. We use this pose whilst practicing our breathing at the beginning of each class. Remember to sit up tall for this asana. Most of us only use around 50% of our lung capacity in our day-to-day lives. Since our breath is our life force (prana), only using 50% of our capacity means we are only living life at 50%. Im sure we all want more out of life than 50% so when possible aim to sit/stand up tall so that your lungs can open fully and so that you can live your life fully

08.01.2022 The sixth chakra is known as the Third Eye Chakra (Ajna in Sanskrit) and is located on the forehead just above and between the eyes. The color associated with the Third Eye Chakra is indigo blue and the element is light. This is our connection to our Divine Self, to our true nature in Spirit. We delve into deeper levels of understanding through our Third Eye chakra via philosophy, religion and spirituality in all forms. We may connect with our most enlightened wisdom passed d...own from generations here. The Third Eye Chakra guides us even deeper into the knowledge that we create our own reality, especially when it is balanced properly. We strive for conscious choices here and awareness of our identity and intention on this planet. The Third Eye Chakra encourages us to plant seeds of our truth in our mental gardens and make a conscious choice to uproot the beliefs that no longer serve us. We must tend to this garden on a regular basis, weeding out what may not be our truth. . Poses that are good for the 6th chakra often have to do with balance, because you really have to silence your mind and concentrate on doing the pose and the present moment. Chair Pose, or Utkatasana, here on this beautiful picture by @skclay86, is one of those poses. Chair Pose is considered a base pose as chair pose variations can be derived from this pose. Chair Pose helps boost energy in the body and hence can be included in flow yoga sequences. See more

05.01.2022 Yoga squat aka malasana or garland pose. We have been practicing this asana each week for a number of weeks now. Malasana is a beautiful grounding pose so a great one to practice when in need of calming. It also helps to tone the entire lower body including legs, pelvic region, lower back and core. How have you found practicing this asana weekly?
