25.01.2022 There is a wise message in this story! Dont mess with the elderly, they havent lived this long without learning a thing a or two! An older lady decided to give herself a big treat for her 70th birthday by staying overnight in a really nice hotel. When she checked out the next morning, the desk clerk handed her a bill for $250.00. She demanded to know why the charge was so high. I agree its a nice hotel, but the rooms arent worth $250.00 for just an overnight stay! I d...idnt even have breakfast. The clerk told her that $250.00 is the standard rate, and breakfast had been included had she wanted it. She insisted on speaking to the Manager. The Manager appeared and, forewarned by the desk clerk, announced: This hotel has an Olympic-sized pool and a huge conference centre which are available for use. But I didnt use them, she said. Well, they are here, and you could have, explained the Manager. He went on to explain that she could also have seen one of the in-hotel shows for which they were so famous. We have the best entertainers from the world over performing here, the Manager said. But I didnt go to any of those shows, she said. Well, we have them, and you could have, the Manager replied. No matter what amenity the Manager mentioned, she replied, But I didnt use it! and the Manager countered with his standard response. After several minutes discussion, and with the Manager still unmoved, she decided to pay, wrote a cheque and gave it to him. The Manager was surprised when he looked at the cheque. But madam, this cheque is for $50.00. Thats correct I charged you $200.00 for sleeping with me, she replied. But I didnt! exclaimed the very surprised Manager. Well, too bad, I was here, and you could have. Boom boom Have a wonderful weekend and always give your elders the respect they deserve!

I was around 18 when someone said this to me and it's always stuck with me........ A: There are people in this life and some of them will never be willing to go out of their way to fix a problem, to help, or to lend a hand- even when they've contributed to that problem. They just wait for the next person to come along and take care of things. Generally speaking I would say NO to hashtags in your bio! Why?... 1. Using hashtags does not come up in search (only your name and username will come up in search) 2. If you use a hashtag I only recommend 1 hashtag in your account i.e. your brand hashtag, a campaign hashtag, a competition hashtag so which clicked it will take someone to your existing content or in the example of a competition, to those who enter or repost your content 3. Most important though, if you use a hashtag in your bio do not under any circumstances use a popular hashtag around your niche i.e. #socialmedia as it will send people away from your account and into the accounts of possible competitors. So make sure you save that info and turn it into a post. Make it the pinned post if you like, add it to your "additional Info" under the edit page info section or, use it as a recurring post once a month to keep your new followers informed about what your business is about, who you are, how your business came to be, etc. ... Use it for an Instagram update, a Google My Business post and any other SM platform you use. To find Your Stoy in the new Facebook layout, go to your notifications and look for the notification that tells you its about to be deleted and copy the info and paste it in Notes or a word document until you have time to create a post as mentioned above. Here is one excerpt from the article: Facebook says its initially building Facebook Business Suite with the needs of small businesses first, as so many have been forced by the pandemic to find new ways to reach customers and sell online. However, the long-term plan is to build out a set of tools that can be used by all businesses, including larger ones. The company aims to address that market sometime next year. 03.01.2022 Another life lesson in dealing with the elderly! The old lady handed her bank card to a bank teller and said, I would like to withdraw $500". The teller told her, For withdrawals less than $2,000, please use the ATM.... The old lady wanted to know why ... The teller returned her bank card and irritably told her, These are the rules. Please leave if there is no other matter. There is a line behind you. The old lady remained silent for a few seconds, then handed the card back to the teller and said, Please help me withdraw all the money I have. The teller was astonished when she checked the account balance. She nodded her head, leaned down and respectfully told her, My apologies Ma'am, you have $35 million in your account and our bank doesn't have so much cash currently. Could you make an appointment and come again tomorrow? The old lady then asked how much she could withdraw immediately. The teller told her any amount up to $250,000. "Well, please let me have $250,000 now", she requested. The teller did so quickly, then handed it very friendly and respectfully to her elderly client. The old lady put $500 in her bag and asked the teller to deposit the balance of $249,500 back into her account. Don't be difficult with old people, they spent a lifetime learning the skills. Good to remove the "bad stuff" but what about the stuff that may not be bad just someones opinion...why do they get to play judge & jury and get away with it? Another court case coming up maybe? 01.01.2022 There are so many new changes to Facebook lately its enough to give you a headache!! Hashtags and the new interface look seem to be getting the most attention though! Here is an extract from Mari Smith re using hashtags on Facebook. Its suggested you dont use every 2nd or 3rd word as a hashtag but to follow suit like on Instagram and place most of them at the bottom on your post, using them sparingly throughout your actual post by using the most prominent hashtag words on...ly. Have a read of Maris article below for more info and great tip ideas! Extract: How many hashtags should you include in your Facebook posts? As many as you want! (The character limit for Facebook posts is a whopping 63,206!) But, generally I would suggest adding 3-5 key hashtags. And then maybe expanding to 10-15 if you wish. More if you really want. Test to see what works. I would also place hashtags mostly at the bottom, similar to Instagram. Also, if you just place a bunch of clear lines before your hashtags, Facebook removes the clear lines. So, again, just like on Instagram, you might place several . periods to create hard line breaks. HOT TIP: Consider going back through some of your best performing Facebook posts and ADD hashtags! PLUS, be sure to add a comment and see if some of your friends/fans can add a comment, too. This activates Facebooks Story Bump algorithm introduced on August 6th, 2013 and could help more people discover your content easier, especially video posts.
