25.01.2022 The Marshall Liberal Government will fund a new, state-wide advocacy service to ensure vulnerable South Australians with disability can access and receive the supports they need. We actioned this swiftly following a recommendation from the Safeguarding Taskforce final report. The service will receive $400,000 a year for three years and will begin operating in December.

22.01.2022 We’ve committed $500,000 to develop a new, nation-first safeguarding app enabling South Australians living with disability the ability to access wellbeing checks, emergency help and the right referrals in one easy-to-use platform. By making it easier for people to get the right help when they need it, this free app will help to prevent issues like abuse, neglect and inadequate support from escalating before it’s too late. The Marshall Liberal Government will now work with the NDIS to develop the app, in close consultation with key stakeholders and people living with disability.

21.01.2022 We've launched a new ad campaign on the popular dating app Tinder asking South Australians to see sexually predatory behaviour for what it is and put an end to violence against women. Launched in time for the festive season, the The See it for What it is. Stop Sexual Violence. campaign sends a strong and unmistakable message that violence against women will not be ignored or overlooked and attitudes condoning it must change. 20.01.2022 We’re doing more than ever before to support South Australians experiencing domestic, family and sexual violence. Now, at-risk women and their children in the Mt Gambier region will be supported through the opening of a new safety hub, backed by the Marshall Liberal Government. The hub is a safe place people can go to seek support and help from trained volunteers.

19.01.2022 We’re developing a nation-first safeguarding app for people with disability, their families and carers. The one-stop-shop app will allow people to access safeguarding information and support from the comfort of their own homes. The app will pilot virtual visits by Community Volunteers to test its effectiveness with people with a disability and their families, complementing and enhancing South Australia’s existing Community Visitor Scheme, with scheme volunteers able to v...isit a person with disability via video conferencing. We will now work with the NDIS to develop the app, in consultation with key stakeholders and people living with disability.

18.01.2022 A rundown parcel of land in Seaton is set for a long-overdue facelift as part of a multi-milllion affordable and social housing renewal project. It is set to boost vital construction jobs and provide homes for South Australians wanting to enter the market. This community has been neglected for a very long time and this redevelopment will help revive and refresh this part of Seaton.... It’s going to turn old public housing into new, fit-for-purpose social housing for our most vulnerable, new affordable homes for low-and-medium income South Australians and new house and land market sales centred around a large, new reserve for the community to enjoy. The Seaton redevelopment land is opposite the Seaton High School, bounded by Matthews Ave, Lark Ave, Glenburnie St and Frederick Rd.

We've listened to feedback from older South Australians - and experts - who will now be able to choose from a range of upgraded subsidised personal alert devices, offering new and better features and flexibility. From February 1, Personal AlertSA customers will be offered the next generation of personal alert technology and wearable options including pendant models - and even smart watches! ... Customers who wish to keep their existing devices are able to do so - and they will still be monitored 24/7. COTA SA welcomed the changes, including the greater choice in devices and upgraded technology.

Here is what we can tell you: As of 12pm today, Friday 20 November 2020 exercise outside of your home with members of your household is permitted.... Masks are not mandatory but are encouraged. Schools will re-open on Monday 23 November 2020. We will continue to review all Directions with the aim to open the borders to VIC on 1 December as originally planned and further open our state by reducing restrictions. As of 12:01am on Sunday 22 November (Midnight Saturday) we will revert back to similar restrictions that were in place on Monday 16 November 2020. This includes: 1 person per 4 square metres will apply. No dancing or vertical consumption. Updated gathering provision numbers being: Onsite purchase and consumption of food and beverages- 100 people maximum and no more than 10 people at each table. Funerals- 50 people maximum Weddings- 150 people maximum and registration of all guests with SA Health Religious ceremonies (not including a wedding or funeral)- 100 people maximum Private gatherings- 50 people maximum Private residence- 10 people per house (unless more than 10 people permanently reside at the residence) All food and beverages will need to be consumed while seated. Personal care workers will need to wear masks. Gyms are permitted to reopen. We appreciate that there is a lot to understand as things are changing. 14.01.2022 From midnight tonight, the border restriction between South Australia and the ACT will be lifted for people FLYING into our state. People will be required to fill out the SA Police Cross Border Travel Registration form online. They will also be required to declare that they haven't been outside a Safe Community Transmission Zone for the 14 day period prior to travelling to South Australia.... People DRIVING from the ACT into South Australia will still be required to quarantine for 14 days.

02.01.2022 We’re delivering more than 1000 new affordable homes over the next five years so more South Australians wanting to live the great Australian dream of owning a home can. Today, I toured the first of these homes, now on the market in Broadview, just 15 minutes from the CBD and close to shops and public transport. The two-storey, two bedroom turnkey homes are for sale from $408,000 - and there are many new, affordable homes now on sale for as low as $340,000 on the State Government’s Affordable Homes Program website.
