24.01.2022 Update on winter
24.01.2022 *EXCITING NEWS* MYCA Cricketers, The MYCA Victorian Team has a tryout this Sunday, 16th of May 2021 at 10am.... This tryout is to pick the team for when we play NSW in our annual representative game which is being played in Melbourne in 2021. The training session will be held at HQ in Moorabin at 51-53 Levanswell Rd, Moorabbin VIC 3189. Clubs need to nominate their best 1 or 2 players that you think would be a genuine chance to represent our state in Mid-Year cricket. Players need to be available on Sunday 13th of June for the game to qualify. Email me with their details on [email protected]. If you can supply their name, club they are playing for and mobile number that would be great for Covid guideline purposes. Also, MYCA has been able to secure another state game vs SACA. This game is likely to be held in July in South Australia. More details to come. Lastly our annual North v South and East v West game will also be happening towards the end of the season which is another great day to celebrate Mid-Year cricket. Looking forward to seeing you there. Mark Cooper Committee Member Captain of MYCA Vic Team

13.01.2022 The season will go ahead All players to get ready as the first game back is 11th of July, we will play 8 rounds straight and then finals. There will be a lot of things different with rules and regulations that we must abide by but none the less we are playing.
13.01.2022 Season 2020 Okay everyone as you would have seen or heard MYCA have announced the season is going ahead but obviously with a lot of changes to the way we play Now the league has given all teams who have already registered a option of de-registering because of Covoid-19 and the new rule changes that will be out in place. ... Now we as a club have a week to decide on what we are gonna do and I need everyone’s opinion, now there are heaps of questions to be answered for us to really make a decision but I don’t know weather will get those answers Now from what I know the season will be 9 rounds back to back with no weekends off, you will have to provide your own afternoon tea and drinks and social distancing will apply off the field I would presume. Now also another big question that I will try and get answered is weather we will have access to the rooms this season, I will try and get ahold of council to see what they’re guildlines will be as it will be very different form how we have run the club from previous season. Now I will need players to commit to a full season, can’t have players who can only every 2nd week. The captains will need commitment for their players as we don’t want to be chasing players every week just to fill a team. If we do decide to go ahead this year as it’s our 10th season in the comp a lot of things won’t be the same and feel a lot different. But I want all players and members to have a think about and get back to me with their answers A decision will be made Sunday night.
