15.01.2022 Today marks the official end to the quietest fire season in more than a decade, a welcome and stark contrast to last year. This season, NSW RFS members have res...ponded to just over 5,500 bush and grass fires that have burnt 30,963 hectares across NSW, considerably less than the 11,400 fires and 5.5 million hectares lost last season. Thank you to our incredible members who continuously step up to help when called upon, protecting communities across the state

07.01.2022 At midnight tonight, the end of the official Bush Fire Danger Period in the Southern Tablelands Zone for the 2020-2021 season will end. For anyone wishing to co...nduct burns, Please remember you are still required to provide a minimum of 24 hours notice of your intention to burn and you must provide this notice to both your neighbours and the RFS.
