24.01.2022 To our Members & Visitors, - CHANGE IN SIGN-IN PROCESS - The NSW Government has advised that from 1st January 2021 signing in to hospitality venues via the Service NSW app will be mandatory. This will be an additional step to our usual sign-in process through Mi-Club. When entering the course and venue all members, visitors as well as our contractors and staff will need to check-in via the Service NSW portal by scanning the QR code displayed at the entry to the club. Everyo...ne must then show their confirmation screen to golf shop staff. Everyone needs to use a smartphone camera or QR code reader to scan the QR code when entering the premises. You will then be prompted to check in using the COVID Safe Check-in tool in the Service NSW app or the Service NSW webform. In the event that a smart phone is not owned by the person entering, this will be completed manually by our golf shop staff through the Service NSW app. Please be kind and patient to our staff as they manage this additional process that will take additional time to enter into the venue, our team will also continue asking everyone entering if they have been to any current hotspots that have been advised. As always, if you are unwell or have been to any of the listed hot spot venues, please stay home and get tested, do not visit us until all clear as we continue to do our best to keep everyone safe. 20.01.2022 Great to have Professional Golfer Craig Parry out at PKGC today presenting his recommendations. Earlier this year Craig was appointed to undertake a review of the course. The brief was to endeavour to make the course more enjoyable and interesting to play for all levels of golfers and improve maintainability. Craigs input will be used to help us make some design changes to achieve the desired outcome. The suggested recommendations will be prioritised in order to plan and commence implementation shortly. 11.01.2022 Good News! As of Wednesday, 1st July we will be opening the clubhouse in its reduced format for members and visitors to socialise after a game of golf. We will have 3 areas open with set seating capacities which will be displayed at the entry to each room.... As part of our CovidSafe plan we have the following protocols in place: - Record the contact details, including name and telephone number or email address, of all customers. - Tee time bookings will be used for records of members. All visitors will be required to sign a register at the Pro Shop. - All members & visitors must be seated at all times when inside the clubhouse and maintain social distancing. We appreciate the cooperation of all our members and visitors and look forward to opening this area of the Club.

10.01.2022 Over the past six months, Port Kembla Golf Club members have joined over 150,000 other Australian golfers in a free six-month trial of the MiScore Digital Scoring App for both competition and social play scoring. Following positive member feedback, Port Kembla Golf Club have chosen to offer the MiScore App as the preferred scoring platform to all members for both competition and social play beyond the expiry of the free trial period from 1st October 2020. From 1st October, al...l members of Port Kembla Golf Club will have access to the MiScore App platform for use at Port Kembla at no cost, allowing digital scoring for both competition and social play. Should members wish to use the MiScore App at other clubs and courses (500 other facilities across Australia) an annual subscription will be payable within the app of $16.50 Inc GST. For all subscribers, direct technical support is available via the main App interface. 06.01.2022 Dear Members, A new 'Lottery' feature for the booking system will be implemented from Monday 24th August and apply to all Wednesday and Saturday timesheets. Members will now Join the Draw from 5:30pm onwards and be allocated a ticket with a position number in a virtual queue when the countdown timer reaches zero. The 'Lottery' will send the first 5 members into the timesheet to make a booking. All others will get a ticket in the queue to enter the timesheet when those ahead have completed their booking. Login to the member's area for an in-depth look at how the lottery works!

04.01.2022 Our Green keepers and a dedicated group of volunteers have been working hard all week to get as much water off the course as possible. We will be open tomorrow, Saturday 15th August with a full 18 holes. Carts will be unavailable until further notice.... Please be aware that there is still wet areas that around the course however these will not have major impact on the course playability. There is a small amount of rain forecast for this afternoon and tonight but hopefully this will not affect the course too much. Happy golfing!
