07.01.2022 Blood donors, your time is now! If you donate blood or plasma on a regular basis, now is the time to make sure you are part of team SA Country Fire Service for ...the Emergency Services Blood Challenge. Traditionally the CFS believes we have the best quality of blood running through our veins, and Australian Red Cross Lifeblood need every drop of it they can get. If you give blood between 1 June and 31 August 2021, your donation will instantly help those who need it, and be registered on the CFS tally in the Emergency Services Blood Challenge. Last year the CFS placed second overall in the Challenge, bottling more of the good stuff than our colleagues at the MFS and SES. There are categories for most donations, most new donors, most plasma donations and highest year-on-year growth. If you want to help out, and save lives even when you are not trying, register now at lifeblood.com.au and get ready to roll up your sleeves (new donors welcome). Tag a blood donor or a firie whose blood is worth bottling to let them know.
