18.01.2022 A repair model that has been adopted by some repairers and insurers sees a vehicle repaired for a pre agreed set price or contract price. The amount agreed upon is then payed by the insurer to the repairer per vehicle claim, regardless of the severity of the damage encountered, up to an agreed threshold. Insurers then promote these repairers over all others, even to the point of the wrongful portrayal of non-contracted repairers to their insured customers during the claims ...process! At Midstate Smash Repairs, we refuse to have our customers vehicle repairs potentially compromised by this type of repair model and practise. Please be mindful of the tactics being employed by some insurers and remember, you do have a choice! Attached is an example of what we found on a vehicle that was recently in our workshop for repairs. The vehicle had been previously repaired but as youll see it has fallen well short of the mark.
