25.01.2022 *CHICKEN COOP IS FINISHED* Over the past few months here at the Midway Point Community Garden, we have been very busy building a chicken coop and it looks fantastic our 3 girls are very happy in their new home. This would not be possible without the support from the RACT Community Grant and a kind donation from Rural Solutions Tasmania. A huge thank you to our amazing garden volunteers Danny Reid, Gary Mills & Max Clifford, we couldn't have done it without you. and to Megan for the donation of the chickens So call in and have a cuppa and a wander around the garden and come met our 3 girls K.F.C ( named by local children Caitlan and Hayley) See you soon.

They grow food and use the produce in their co...mmunity cooking programs and give away and/or sell excess produce to community members. Today I visited the Midway Point Neighbourhood House. I'm always impressed by the great work that Tammy Obrien and the volunteers do. This garden is a joy to spend time in admiring the vast array of produce (plus the new chicken residents). .
