01.01.2022 The power of an Aussie passport: Australian document now gives holders visa-free access to 183 countries An Australian passport allows entry to 183 destinations without a visa. There are 43 destinations which Australian passport holders must attain visa for. It would take 14 passports to grant access to every destination in the world. Australia has moved up one position in 2018 to rank on the sixth tier of the worlds best passports to possess, level with Greece.... While the Land Down Under trails the likes of Japan, Singapore and Germany, which make up the top three, its passport allows entry to 183 destinations without a visa. The Henley Passport Index profiled each country for its value in traveling the globe with ease, revealing Australia as one point ahead of neighbor New Zealand. The ranking system bases itself on the number of countries holders can enter without having to pre-apply for a visa. There are 20 countries that rank ahead of Australia, spread across the top five tiers. Last year, Australia slipped to the seventh tier and dropped even further to eighth in the previous year, but recovered to sixth again in 2015. *Source : http://www.dailymail.co.uk//Australian-passport-climbs-pow
