18.01.2022 Quality education is not cheap. And there are no one-size fits all approach. I believe if homework as a tool is designed and used effectively and fit-for-purpose, it will bring many positive prospects to student learning: -Teachers and parents can use it as a diagnostic and formative assessment tools to keep track of student learning progress; -Homework should not be executed repetitively to deter motivation to learn among students, but it should be adjusted regarding the l...evel of difficulty and challenges to encourage the student to advance in their learning; -Homework can be used to teach students their responsibility and accountability in their learning and help them build and enforce their skill in self-discipline; -Homework should not be solely in the form of a workbook but can be administered in games, puzzles, and group work. 18.01.2022 How much does your ability to focus affect your learning? In our early childhood coding classes, two boys stood out since the term began. Boy E has a shy personality, and his only responses are shaking or nodding his head with his big bright eyes when we communicate with him. Boy Z has transition issue, meaning he takes more time to settle in a new environment. He cried through his first lesson. However, he inched closer towards the robot and story map, and us while his crying got softer throughout the lesson. In his second lesson, he ran to us with open arms and showed us his comfort toy. Little did we expect that these two boys are the best performers compared to their peers.

10.01.2022 Dont let your phone take control of your life and time with your children.

10.01.2022 Arent children too young to take your marketing and entrepreneurship classes?"My immediate answer would be No, it is never too young to start fostering an entrepreneurial mindset!. A quick Google search would show that were not the only ones that share this view. Business consultants and expert entrepreneurs say "its never too early to teach kids the benefits of sound money management and smart business practices" (CNN, 2014). There is also plenty of evidence of many successful young entrepreneurs or kidpreneurs.

08.01.2022 You dont need a computer to learn how to foster computational thinking. Here is why and how. https://www.primotoys.com//what-is-computational-thinking/

05.01.2022 To remove gender biases in the education system we need the right culture to support it. Although I did not become an engineer, I completed Physics in my final year of school. Physics was never my favourite subject but growing up in a family with four adult engineers, I thought it was just another common field that I should learn. So I did in addition to Chemistry, Biology, Maths, Additional Maths, Geography, and History. From my personal experience, if you let children grow ...up in a neutral culture where there are no strong gender-based biases, they will grow up discovering their passion freely and be open and confident to seeking the truth in all facets of life. While we expect our children to learn hard, we adults need to work hard on providing a healthy and open culture to facilitate their learning. https://www.theage.com.au//adults-dumb-down-science-lesson

05.01.2022 We should never grow up learning different disciplines in silos and fail to integrate as a knowledge community.
