17.01.2022 See you at Mildura BC on Friday night to celebrate the return to near normal living. Carbis room can now seat 45. Plenty of room on the viewing deck for another 40. Get on down and make the place rock on Friday night to celebrate the lifting of many of the COVID clamps.

17.01.2022 Sadly it is my melancholy duty to inform Members that Bowls Sunraysia have taken the unprecedented decision to abandon pennant this season. As your President, along with Workers President, Garry Wescombe we attempted to get the program up and running, Delegates voted 9/2 to abandon the season.... I am very disappointed that this decision has been taken. More importantly I do not think that clubs have calculated the impact that it will have on their membership growth. Tonight I was elected to the Board of Bowls Sunraysia. It has a life of approximately 4 months before the Region assumes control of the running of Bowls. Rest assured there will be many positive outcomes for all. It will require the current divisional board to determine how Sunraysia will operate going forward. I will be working strenuously toward developing a model of management which allows our district to continue in its current form meeting the needs of all bowlers. In particular I will prioritise the DJ as an event that must be maintained regardless. Dot was a World, National and State Champion. A true legend of the game. We need to focus on how we can utilise her contribution to the game to continue the expansion and growth of bowls in Sunraysia. President Mitch.

17.01.2022 Vale: Kevin Knight Members and friends are respectfully informed of the passing of long standing member and friend Kevin. The club extends its sincerest condolences to the Knight family. RIP Kevin Knight.
