25.01.2022 EVENT Postponed until further notice - National Tree Day Event! Apex Park This Sunday 30th May from 10.30 am! We are planting 200 trees, and shrubs all are welcome to join in on the fun! 23.01.2022 Common weeds of the Mildura Area Khaki Weed also declared noxious Ground spreading up to 2 meters. This devilish fellow spreads along the ground with red- purple stems which are covered with short hairs. The leaves are green with red-purple veins and are round to oval shaped. Khaki weed also produces burrs and a super prickly!

21.01.2022 Common weeds of the Mildura Area Caltrop another nasty little fellow also declared a noxious weed. This meanie can spread across the ground up to 2 meters. If left to grow it forms dense fine foliaged mats, has yellow flowers which gives way to cats head shaped burrs. Often punching bike tyres and ruins any backyard cricket match if not wearing shoes!

This fun weed produces a hard woolly oval burr 1.2- 2 cm long which has numerous spines. I often find these in my dog after visiting the river. Found in disturbed natural area and spread by machinery and animals.

12.01.2022 Common weeds of the Mildrua area: Gentle Annie this pesky weed has been delcared a noxious weed and can grow 80cms high and 30 cm wide. Gentle Annie is a summer gorwing annual grass which spreads. The flower heads have mulitple sharp spined burrs! Nothing gentle about this Annie!
