16.01.2022 Our Community is whole again! Today, after 137 days divided, the NSW/Victorian border has reopened! It has been a tough few months for our bordering towns and associated businesses, but it is such a relief to be one community again. That being said, we would like to acknowledge all the hard work the NSW Police Force, RAAF and Australian Defence Force had put into the border check points over those months. You battled a couple of 40 degree days, thunderstorms, dust storms and... wind! I think we can all agree, however, that you all left our region feeling the sense of community spirit we have here, and we implore you to come back and visit us with your families and help re-invigorate our Tourism Industry! 15.01.2022 The Paddle Steamer Melbourne's engine has not turned over now for 8 months (due to COVID and not being in operation). She has weathered dust storms and rain and in need of a tidy up cosmetically, but today has also passed her boiler inspection! Stay tuned shortly to see this gorgeous gal cruising the river again and her synonymous whistle echoing around Mildura once more! (Just waiting on the guys to complete maintenance on her superstructure now!)

Or maybe a stroll around the Lock Island to the back of the weir is something you could do to tire out the kids!? Either way, it is a perfect place to visit and unwind.
