18.01.2022 Vale Kate Jennings, trail blazing feminist and writer of incisive prose and poetry. Chosen by Les Murray in 1997 as the second recipient of the Philip Hodgins Memorial Medal. Kate came to Mildura with her father to accept the award and returned again a decade later to discuss her collected essays published by Black Inc. She was a friend of the festival and she will be missed.

02.01.2022 So excited to share this with you all. It’s been a month so far and it’s been exciting and overwhelming. Thanks to friends, family and locals who have been so lovely and supportive. I’m not selling books online yet, but I’ll let you know when that all comes together. Her best-selling cookbook, In Praise of Veg, a definitive guide to cooking with vegetables has quickly become a staple in Australian kitchens and has already been translated into many languages. It was most recently awarded Best Illustrated Nonfiction title at the Australian Book Industry Awards.
