10.01.2022 Wow what a finale to our 2021 Local Theatre Production. We would like to thank everyone who turned up over all 4 nights of the play to support our local cast and crew as well as the Miles Regional Arts Council. After a year out of practice we were a bit rusty (yes we forgot the programs) but we were so happy to be performing for our amazing community again! As with all events, there is a long list of thank yous and we hope we don't miss anyone out. So a big shout out to: - ...Anita Thomson for her first time directing with help from our previous director Sally Presnell - All our cast and crew, thank you for bringing the plays to life and adding your own touches to your characters - Thank you to Abrahams Drapery for donating the clothes racks as props - Costumes loaned by Miles State School, Miles Historical Village Museum, Foodworks Miles and Shirley Makin - All our kitchen helpers, thank you for your time, the taste testing, the delicious home made goods and chasing the cast and crew to make sure they are fed - Everyone who volunteered at the bar, we appreciate your time and efforts - Gambling Community Benefit Fund Queensland for their generous funding support of the hall LED lighting upgrade, we hope you noticed how bright it was on stage (we know the actors did ) - Miles Lions Club for their kind donation towards the building of our new stage sets and to Travis Hahn for building them in time. - Gerkies for their videography on our last Saturday Night, thrown in the deep end with no rehearsals and still doing a marvellous job (check out the sneak peaks at the link below!) - and finally, to all our Arts Council volunteers for set up, pack up and everything in between. If anyone would like to join our team bringing all forms of Arts to the community, please let us know! See more
