Here the children are developing positive learning dispositions such as creativity and imagination. Everyone thoroughly enjoyed this experience as it had multiple steps leading to the final product. The children were challenged with fine motor experiences, cutting around their portrait developed persistence and the children adapted exceptionally well to this task.

11.01.2022 In the Junior Kindy room environment the home corner is a daily experience for Lucas. A time where Lucas uses his imagination and creativity as he cooks and creates with the different utensils on offer for Lucas to cook with. Conversations and turn taking are apart of the learning experiences explored in the home corner area. As each child creates food and relays to their friends what food and drink they are making. Lucas enjoys cooking and serving up the food he has prepared for himself and his friends.

Using bicarb soap, vinegar and food colouring, the children got to see what happens when you mix all three together. 09.01.2022 All the Toddler children were so excited for their fruity icy cup. It was a little tricky to begin with on how to hold and eat it but we soon got the hang of it. Some of the children drank the juice out of the cup. Slurp. The next problem was that it was starting to melt and fall off the sticks. How do we do this now? After this happened they really didn’t want to pick it up as it was too cold and sticky.

05.01.2022 Hello Families My name is Jack and I can be found as the assisting educator in the kindy room for 2021. I am passionate about learning and growing everyday alongside the children and I cannot wait to do this in 2021. 04.01.2022 Our Nursery children explored the reaction of colours colliding in our sensory colour tub. 03.01.2022 Hello families, My name is Megan and I have been working at milestones now for 3 years (working as a lead and assistant) but have been in the industry for 10years. I have worked from the nursery up to and including primary school aged children. I have 2 children of my own who attend/attended the centre. My eldest is off to prep this year and my youngest is in the toddlers room. I will be working within the pre kindy room this year. My goal is to work with parents and familie...s more for their input in their child's learning. This helps to build close relationship between myself and the children, and allows the parents to feel as though we are "parenting together". As I understand some of the children spend as much time in our care as well as with their parents, I work with the parents as much as I can helping to input any strategies they give me and giving them strategies that work for their child in my care. This will be a constant continuation throughout the year. I'm very excited to learn with and about your children, seeing them flourish within my care. Kind regards Megan Vassallo.

03.01.2022 Today to give the 3-4 kindy children a bit of guide, they got to cut a piece of paper that had a road printed out on it to guide them with the dotted lines down the middle of the road. Some of the roads were straight, curved and on an angle.

02.01.2022 Hi Happy Feet Families, Welcome to veggie week! After the fun we had in this class, tonight you can be sure that your little ones are going to want to be eating their carrots, broccoli, peas and corn! We talked about how eating lots and lots of veggies helps us RUN, JUMP and PLAY, and give us lots of muscles! I brought some special veggie friends with me that wanted to play with us, we got to see a supersize corn, huge peas in a pod, a great big bunch of broccoli and a big g...igantic carrot! I even put on a special carrot hat on my head. It made the children laugh with delight to see something so big and funny on my head! We made a big stir fry of peas and corn in my frying pan / parachute, shook it all up and pretended to chow down on our yummy food! We then danced and sang about how super good veggies are for you, and once the music stopped, the children had to run to one of the 4 veggie friends of mine. With the childrens help, I used magic to pull out a veggie scarf from my special magic bag. It was so much fun. It was so good to see all the children know which veggie was which. What a fun-filled day it was learning about the goodness all veggies bring to everyone. Until next time, Love, Miss Anna See more
