18.01.2022 DOUBLE DEMERITS: The NSW Double Demerit points period will commence from 12.01am tomorrow (Thursday 9 April 2020) and continue until 11.59pm on Monday 13 April 2020. NSW Police have established Operation Tortoise and will be targeting speeding, mobile phone, seatbelt and motorcycle helmet offences; all of which will attract double demerit points.... The NSW Government and NSW Police are also reminding members of the public to stay home, where possible. Police will be patrolling the roads and using number plate technology and camera systems to ensure members of the public adhere to the authorities’ no travel request, unless they have a reasonable excuse. 18.01.2022 COVID-19 UPDATE: In promising signs life is slowly getting back to normal, the NSW Premier Gladys Berejiklian has announced this morning that two adults will be able to go and visit anybody else in their home on the basis of care, on the basis of reducing social isolation and everybody’s mental health. Importantly, if you have younger children you will be able to take them with you on the visit as they do not count towards the two adults total.

08.01.2022 COVID-19 UPDATE: The Prime Minister has laid out the roadmap to reopening Australia post-COVID-19. The first stage includes allowing gatherings of 5 people at home, up to 30 mourners at funerals and 10 guests attending a wedding. The Prime Minister has emphasised that the implementation of the plan will be the decision of individual state and territory governments.
