21.01.2022 As a electrician I can not stress enough about the importance of protecting your family against the hidden dangers or electricity. Making sure all your electrical appliances/cabling and yourself are all protected by a safety switch (RCD). Getting your home electrically tested/checked then amended and brought up to scratch to today's standards. Smoke alarm replacement.... Earthing system checked & tested & amended. Broken or old switches & outlets replaced. Old light fittings replaced. Switchboard upgrades to today's safety standards. 18.01.2022 Hi all For the pictures below a heat temperature gun was used to determine the heat output by the old halogen downlight. As you can see from the picture the old halogen downlights that many still have in their home operate at a temperature of around 187 C which is the light on the left. The light on the right is a LED downlight which has a operating temperature of around 19C. The difference speaks for itself. This is a major fire hazard sitting in your home. These lights s...hould never of been introduced and passed the Australian standards. Give me a call or message to get more details.
