25.01.2022 We love a good TV mount!! On this job we supplied the TV bracket and installed a socket outlet in a recessed box. This allows for a nice flush finish with the wall. We also ensure TV, HDMI or data outlets are installed behind the TV so you don’t have to look at any ugly cables hanging down to the cabinet below. 24.01.2022 Check out this work in progress! We’re just completing the electrical works in this extension for our clients in West Footscray. We’ve been back and forth a few times over about 9 months, but we’ve now competed the kitchen electrical, which means our work there is done! 23.01.2022 This week we installed new pendant lights and heritage switches at our clients home in Ascot Vale. The home owner painted the heritage switch timber blocks white, which looks quite neat with the matt black switches. 20.01.2022 Preparation is key! This kitchen was in a double brick home, meaning all walls are brick. This makes our rough-in a little more time consuming. We have to cut a chase in the wall to house the cable, and install masonry wall boxes in the wall to house the powerpoints. On this job the builder cut in the chases and installed the wall boxes for us, to allow us the run the cables with ease. 19.01.2022 New metre panel ready to go! At this property we completed a rewire of the lighting and installed new pendant lights to the property. We also advised the client of the old condition of the house’s cotton cabling consumers mains, overhead fused box, metre panel and ceramic fuse switchboard. We advised that he’s likely to have issues in the future, resulting in dangerous situations and expensive call outs. We provided a quotation to the client to rewire and install replacement ...mains cables and equipment which they decided to go ahead with. We booked a truck appointment with the power provider PowerCor, shut down power to the house for half a day and completed the works. 16.01.2022 Nasty stuff!! This ducted heater was SIZZLED I’m talking FRIED. This circuit was RCD protected. I’m surprised it was allowed to sizzle this much, usually the RCD would trip sooner. If it wasn’t RCD protected, it could have well resulted in a house fire and may have burned that baby down. Crazy when ya see stuff like this! 16.01.2022 We were called to this mains repair job. Our client saw a massive blue strike out the front of their house on Saturday. They’d copped a big power surge from the street, blowing their overhead fused box apart, cooking their switchboard and a few phone chargers inside. We attended site to replace the overhead fused box and switchboard, and test the mains cabling and earthing. As we always say, a thorough, careful rough-in makes for an easy, trouble free (almost) fit-off. 12.01.2022 See that split system outdoor unit in the tricky spot on the side of the building? Yesterday we took on the challenging task of replacing the old faulty unit for a new Panasonic split system air conditioner. This involved replacing the air conditioner pipes, redirected the air conditioner electrical feed and wiring new interconnecting cables. The trickiest part of the job was getting the old heavy 7kW compressor in the photo off the bracket onto the roof and onto the ground. ...To do this we used ropes and ladders to carefully manoeuvre and lower the unit carefully without scratching the clients roof sheets. The client was happy to have a working air conditioner in his upstairs area again! While we were on site we were able to replace the clients two mains powered smoke detectors as they had expired. We also installed power to 3 roof space whirly birds and installed an isolation switch to their walk in robe to control the whirly birds incase they are too noisy at night.
