21.01.2022 This page has been started, to seek community input if a skate-park built for the local youth to use is supported at Crawfordville Park. With minimal facilities in the local area that specifically cater for both kids and teenagers, the addition of a skate-park in Millfield, would allow for this age group to have a place in which they could interact with friends and other local people, whilst at the same time maintaining fitness and ultimately having fun. The inclusion of a s...kate-park would allow for both kids and teenagers to have a place where they can associate with other locals, to ultimately build and strengthen the community as a whole, and minimise the amount of teenagers on the streets. By liking this page, or providing comments Cessnock City Council can progress plans using the contributions proposed by Hardie Holdings to improve community facilities at Crawfordville Park, helping to contribute to a positive outcome in our community.

18.01.2022 Great to see Cessnock City Council progressing Millfield Skate Park with the $$ provided by Rosehill Estate.
16.01.2022 Good news - Today the rezoning of the Rosehill development site was approved by the NSW Government. The rezoning allows the Rosehill development application to be assessed in line with the new zoning. Its another step forward which hopefully results in a Skatepark at Millfield which Councillor Cordelia Troy successfully got the wheels moving back in 2010! at Cessnock City Council.
15.01.2022 CONGRATULATIONS TO GEORGE RICHARDS & JEDD McKENZIE! The local kids from Bar Beach Bowl, Bondi Skate Club had their first comp last Sunday with eight kids travel...ling down to compete at Bondi Bowl. In both the grommets and the Juniors, BBB came away winners with Richards taking out the under 18s and McKenzie finishing in 2nd place. Mckenzie, who is skating up an age group this year, also took out the best trick in Bondi Bowl under 18s with a front side 5050 fakie. Hayden Swift finished 4th and Noah Regan 8th. In the Groms Bryce (brick wall) McKean took out 2nd and he also won the highest air in the groms comp. Kobe Higgins finished 5th in the groms. In the girls comp the only BB competitor, Gemma Balkin, finished 4th in her first outing at Bondi. On another note, for all you who didnt realise, the BBB is now officially a club, the Bar Beach Skateboard Club, and they will be taking first registrations on the 15th June with a jam session and rego BBQ day.

12.01.2022 Good news - at tonights Cessnock City Council meeting the Rosehill development was supported to enable the site to be rezoned. This also allows the offer of funding towards facilities at Crawfordville Park to progress, hopefully resulting in a Skatepark at Millfield which Councillor Cordelia Troy successfully got the wheels moving back in 2010!

05.01.2022 Good news - At the Council meeting this week Council approved the developer contributions plan associated with the Rosehill development. The Council report stated "the agreement allows for a skate park should Councils recreation needs analysis identify a skate park as a priority development".
