25.01.2022 One of the new Malua Bay beach lifesavers on patrol

20.01.2022 Mogo zoo finally opened again today after the fires. It’s such a special place and even more so now. If you haven’t been there before (and also if you have been) do yourself a favour and plan a visit. Unfortunately we can’t offer nearby accommodation at the moment but there are plenty of other tourism operators who would love to have you stay! This story from the SMH is also a cracking read if you haven’t read it yet - a tale of heroism and teamwork from some truly amazing people.

09.01.2022 For those not aware, sadly Mimosa at the Bay burnt down in the devastating bushfires that hit Batemans Bay and surrounds on New Year’s Eve. We are so sad to have lost our beautiful house but we are hoping to rebuild in time. Currently waiting for the government clean up and Insurance and it feels like it will be a long road for everything to happen. Mother Nature is one step ahead of us humans though - here are some shots taken at the house this week with new life sprouting amongst the devastation. Thank you to all our previous guests who have reached out to say how sad they were to hear the house is gone. We will be sure to let you all know when we are back up and running and ready for guests again x

05.01.2022 3 and 1/2 months after the fires destroyed our house the block was finally cleared this week. Long journey to get to even this point. Very sad that the beautiful gardens are almost all gone but looking forward to starting the process of rebuilding and replanting. Now to ring the insurance company again!!
