23.01.2022 The benefits of crying ...we often try to stop the tears (especially in front of other people) but if you can follow the cycle through you can see how actual...ly it ends with mood boosting chemicals being released which will help you feel better once you have processed Allow yourself to cry; crying is not weakness, it is not for wimps, it helps
23.01.2022 The man doesn’t know that there is a snake underneath. The woman doesn’t know that there is a stone crushing the man. The woman thinks: I am going to fall! And... I can’t climb because the snake is going to bite me! Why can’t the man use a little more strength and pull me up! The man thinks: I am in so much pain! Yet I’m still pulling you as much as I can! Why don’t you try and climb a little harder!? The moral is you can’t see the pressure the other person is under, and the other person can’t see the pain you’re in. This is life, whether it’s with work, family, feelings or friends, we should try to understand each other. Learn to think differently, perhaps more clearly and communicate better. A little thought and patience goes a long way. ~ Author Unknown

When we know what to say next we can help someone open up and find pathways to support long before they're in crisis. 05.01.2022 Massive announcement for Year 12 VCE students today! This has been such a challenging year for all Victorian students, particularly our year 12s in their final ...year. Students, and parents, have been understandably concerned about the impact of Coronavirus on their VCE study scores and ATAR ranking. In a year like no other, we’ve responded in an unprecedented way. Today we announced that every student will be individually assessed and any adverse impacts of Coronavirus will be reflected in students’ final VCE study scores and ATAR ranking. In a normal year, individual students are assessed for special consideration on a case by case basis. This year, schools will provide the Victorian Curriculum and Assessment Authority (VCAA) with information on every single one of their students. Schools will be asked to rank their students on both where they are at now and where they would have been had it not been for COVID-19 -- and why. Data will be collected from every school across the state including on previous assessments and used alongside the GAT and exams to adjust VCE scores accordingly. This may include assessing the individual impact of coronavirus on each student, including school closures, direct impacts on the health of a student, students dealing with substantial extra family responsibilities, ongoing issues with remote learning and mental health challenges. These reforms will reach every Year 12 VCE student in the state, ensuring the experiences of the class of 2020 are factored into their results. Every VCE student can go in to their exams with the confidence knowing they will not be disadvantaged by Coronavirus. I want every VCE student to keep focusing on their upcoming exams and have the motivation to strive to do their best in those final year examinations! We are doing everything we can to support you.
05.01.2022 Today is the International Day Against Homophobia, Transphobia, Biphobia, and discrimination against intersex people. In Australia, we've come a long way since ...the World Health Organisation declassified homosexuality as a mental disorder on this very day, in 1990. But there is much more work to be done here, and around the world to ensure our communities live free from discrimination. This IDAHOBIT, we promise to continue working alongside our communities to ensure: Intersex people are no longer subject to forced or coercive medical interventions. Trans and gender diverse Australians can access the support, affirmation and healthcare they need, including ID documents that reflect their gender. We are no longer exposed to harmful conversion practices. The end of outdated carve-outs to anti-discrimination laws that allow religious educational institutions to fire or expel people because of their sexuality or gender identity.
