25.01.2022 2020 has been ROUGH... Do you remember a year ago when everybody was saying "this is going to be my year" and "I can feel that 2020 is going to be a good one" Yeah... those posts didn't age well ... BUT I have been a big advocate for not letting your circumstances dictate your happiness, self-worth, or if you are going to achieve your goals during this time. COVID may not be over just yet but 2021 is almost here and it is our choice to not let the negativity dictate how this year will go. 23.01.2022 Ever had an amazing opportunity, maybe a promotion, or the opportunity to meet someone you idolise, only to be overcome with feelings of doubt and try to self-sabotage? If this sounds familiar you are likely experiencing limiting beliefs... Beliefs are the conditioned perceptions that are built upon old memories and experiences. Often these beliefs can hold us back. ... 1 The first step to overcoming your limiting beliefs is identifying them. Remember that these are assumptions you have made, they are not reality. 2 Once you are aware of the limiting beliefs you hold you can start to transform them. Try questioning the beliefs. The beliefs are only as strong as the references that formed them. 3 Remember your goal, the thing that these beliefs are stopping you from achieving. Thinking about the consequences of holding onto this belief may help you to let go. 4 Replace the old belief with a new one. Instead of "I am not worthy of this promotion" try "I am worthy, that's why I was chosen" 5 Strengthen the belief by writing it down, saying it out loud, and seek sources that will support the new empowering belief such as quotes or speakers. 19.01.2022 Being a business owner comes with stress and anxiety. You know the feeling when life gets a bit crazy and hectic and you feel that constant heavy feeling on your chest I want to teach you how I have overcome this with MINDFULNESS When everything seems just too overwhelming; take a breath. A few deep, slow breaths will bring you back to yourself and allow you more mental clarity to deal with the tasks at hand. ... Do NOT create the narrative that you are living in fear and negativity. 18.01.2022 It is estimated that 85% of the population experience low self-esteem This was devastating to hear But believe me when I say I was here too... Eighteen years ago, my world had completely spun out of control. I was suffering from Anorexia and Bulimia as a direct result of having been sexually abused and struggling as a single mum. I felt so much shame, negativity, anxiety and pain. ... So, what did I do? I created a self-love routine. This was my first step to loving myself. I started to test out different self-love rituals that I had heard of. From meditation to spending time in nature, and exercise, I tried every way I could to boost my self-esteem and oxytocin until I created the perfect self-love routine for myself. When I heard that so many others were struggling with low self-esteem just like me, I immediately started working on my 'super-charge self-love' program. 16.01.2022 I remember when I was single and I wanted to attract my ideal partner, I wrote a list of everything that I wanted in my ideal partner... My gorgeous husband Kim ticks off every single positive characteristic on my list that I wrote down years ago You can use this method to attract YOUR ideal partner too! ... When I do this with my clients I ask them to write down a list of positive characteristics, really focusing on what they would like to attract in a partner. This harnesses the law of attraction to really send a positive vibration out to the world! 16.01.2022 This is something that I live by I don't have to chase extraordinary moments to find happiness - it's right in front me if I'm paying attention and practising gratitude. In the past, I was constantly living for the next big thing. I never took the time to be grateful for what I had in the moment. This led to me searching for happiness in all the wrong places. ... Happiness is right in front of you if you are paying attention. Every day write down three things or people you are grateful for, no matter how small. 14.01.2022 I have the secret to happiness Do more of the things that make you happy right now! Time is one of, if not the most valuable assets we have and we often spend so much time on things that are worth nothing to us. Scrolling through social media, comparing ourselves to others etc. we all do it... ... There is so much time that we can spend doing things that make us happy. Don't say I’ll be happy when.... Choose to focus on all the things that bring you joy at this moment. If you don’t know what makes you happy, then find out! Ask other people what they do for fun and enjoyment. It might be dancing, painting, designing, gardening, trekking, writing, singing, surfing, fishing, boxing, cycling, camping, travelling Incorporate at least one thing a day that lifts your vibration and makes you feel good See more
14.01.2022 I choose to start my day on a high positive vibration... Before I check my phone or computer, I take the time to practise mindfulness when the subconscious is most susceptible in the alpha/theta state. No technology allows me to be fully present before I check emails and start thinking about my to-do list. Here's a little sneak peek into my morning routine as a Rapid Transformational therapist: ... 1 As soon as I wake up, I choose to think of something or someone that makes me happy, or I am grateful for. 2 Then I get out of bed (and make the bed, so I'm not tempted to get back in) and sit down with my morning cup of hot water with lemon and fresh ginger, and my journal. 3 I then journal. This usually includes manifesting my goals both for the day and for the future by visualising what I want to achieve. I see myself living that reality as if it is already happening. 4 Every morning I take time out to meditate which then grounds and centres me for the rest of the day so powerful! 5 My favourite part of my morning routine is a delicious breakfast full of superfoods for the mind (check out my superfoods for the mind post for more information). My mornings are the time that I set aside for myself to practise mindfulness and check-in with myself. You too can incorporate mindfulness into your daily routine. 12.01.2022 DAY 3 of the 5-day Self-Love Challenge Today's challenge: Get some movement! Exercise helps to relieve tension and limit negative feelings naturally, by producing endorphins. Increasing oxygen and blood circulation can help you feel more relaxed and centred. It doesn't have to be intense, but make sure you enjoy it: tennis, boxing, walking, pilates, dance and play - just let go and have fun!... What movement will you be getting today? 10.01.2022 How to overcome your limiting beliefs Limiting beliefs are thoughts, opinions that one believes to be the absolute truth and have a negative impact on one's life. So next time you are experiencing these thoughts, choose to reframe the way that you say it. Don't forget your mind believes what you tell it so if you are constantly thinking negative thoughts you will start to believe them. ... However, it's important to know that how you feel during the experience is not an indication of how effective the experience is. Regardless of how you are feeling in the moment, it is working!
