19.01.2022 Minerva contributed to the aquatic industry space this year as the author of a report into public swimming facilities across the state. Watch Around Water is a key initiative of the industry to foster responsible practices around swimming pools for the young and their parents/carers.

18.01.2022 As mentioned in Garden Makeovers by Minerva, there will be more time for MPS to undertake consulting opportunities as hours in the week are being freed up. Thanks to Sport SA and Recreation SA for some recent and interesting work. I look forward to the launch of the resource booklet I assisted in developing.

17.01.2022 Over the past six months MPS has been involved with a major change process as 60+ Chemplus pharmacies (individually owned) become more strategically focussed in the highly competitive retail pharmacy world and the entire South Australian operation merges with Brisbane based Terry White Chemists. The change team has chosen the Kotter model for the business change; MPS has elected to use ADKAR for the steps around engaging with staff and aligning capability. Really interesting and stimulating times.

15.01.2022 As author of a recent audit into public swimming pools in the state - done on behalf of Recreation SA, with funding from the Office for Recreation, Sport and Racing, l fully support this notion. Many regional towns lack a swimming pool although students have access to one at the school. By opening up the pool to others in the community we can increase water safety awareness and provide a communal meeting point. My report is available from Recreation SA.

07.01.2022 It is some time since I posted: so many things have happened. My home office is now looking on to vines and grazing cattle; my car has become an office as I go to clients wherever they may be - a two hour trip to Kapunda is not unusual.The common thread is that my work continues to be varied which brings much satisfaction and a purpose. As the HR person on call for TerryWhite Chemmart, I am supporting pharmacy owners in challenging times. As a sessional educator for Sport S...A I have been guiding students through Certificates in Fitness, Sport and Recreation. As a project officer I have been working on projects funded by the Office for Recreation and Sport ie for Recreation SA I recently undertook an audit of public swimming pools in SA and presented the results at the 2018 SA/NT Parks and Leisure and Recreation conference; and for Sport SA I am currently in the process of finalising an Innovate Reconciliation Action Plan for Sport in South Australia. Due to be launched in September, this represents a significant step in ensuring sport is available to every South Australian who wishes to participate, volunteer and or support any sport, recreation or physical activity which results in a lifelong,healthy, action and enjoyable lifestyle. 04.01.2022 This week will hopefully bring satisfaction from the closure of a project I have been coordinating since November last year. The Innovate RAP for Sport in South Australia is on its way to Reconciliation Australia for final endorsement. Once endorsed Sport SA will take carriage of the implementation. Sign off represents the delivery of an idea initiated by Frank Lampard, Commissioner for Aboriginal Engagement and Jan Sutherland, the former CEO of Sport SA early 2017. The next two years will take the state sporting community on a journey of reconciliation. I am proud to have been part of this journey.
