22.01.2022 Wishing all of the competitors of the Invictus Family the Strength and Courage to get their Game On.

15.01.2022 NOISE ALERT: Our Black Hawks are busy as bees (very big and very loud bees) and will be taking to the skies over Melbourne for several days from mid-to-late Ma...y 2018. Yes they are big, yes they are loud and yes they may look scary, however, please don't be alarmed if you see them. The Black Hawks and #YourADF personnel are taking part in scheduled counter-terrorism exercises alongside Victoria Police and other government agencies. You should not be alarmed if they see them flying low or if you see, military vehicles and personnel or hear the associated noise of the helicopters, vehicles, blank gunfire or pyrotechnics. This training will be taking place day and night and involves assaults on civilian infrastructure and transport hubs, locations chosen for their training value and the added realism that comes from training in these areas. People who see the training should not be concerned that any of the locations are under any form of actual threat. Training such as this helps ensure Australia remains among the best counter-terrorism response capabilities in the world. Individuals with concerns should contact: 1300 333 362 #AusArmy #AusArmyNoiseAlert Commonwealth of Australia Photo: CPL Hilder

11.01.2022 A number of U.S. Army Commendation Medals (ACM) were recently presented to Australian Army service members for their service with the United States Army. These ...men conducted training of the Cambodian (Force Armee Nationale Khmere) and South Vietnamese Forces. The citations were recommended and approved by commanders in Vietnam in 1972, however, the recipients had not served for the full minimum period, therefore there was a delay while agreements were reached. It is not known why there was such delay in the Army receiving the medals however the recipients and family representatives were grateful for the recognition. ACM’s are awarded to any member of the United States Armed Forces (other than General Officers), or the forces of a friendly foreign nation who distinguishes themselves by an act of extraordinary heroism, achievement, or significant meritorious service which is of mutual benefit to the friendly nation and the United States. Over 140 of these medals have been awarded to Australian soldiers during the Vietnam War. #AusArmy #GoodSoldiering #YourADF #AusArmyHistory Commonwealth of Australia Photos: Department of Defence

08.01.2022 This tattoo is on the inside forearm of Adrian Seiler. It represents his family that have fought in most of the wars Australia has been involved in. They signed a blank cheque made payable to "Australia", for an amount "up to and including their life".... They have provided us with the safety and security we enjoy today. We thank them for their service and remember them. Lest We Forget.
