25.01.2022 Happy new year from the Miniature Train Club!! We return for 2019 on Sunday the 3rd of February, weather permitting. We will be lighting the boilers, fuelling the motors and dusting off the cobwebs for another Public Run Day. We will be running from 10am till 2pm at Muller Park, Ooralea. Closed in shoes and a gold coin donation to ride. For those of you wanting to book a party with us, we operate in 3 time slots every Saturday and the cost is $75 for up to 30 kids. You get ...a train with driver allocated to your party for 2 hours of rides. Cost covers the train only as we don’t supply catering. PM this page for more info. See you SUNDAY

25.01.2022 Happy school holidays everyone!!! What a great time to bring the family down to Muller Park for a train ride. No one is too big or too small to ride so there are no excuses . It really is a bit of inexpensive family fun for the school holidays. There is a park next door to the train park and a multitude of food vendors such as Woolworths, McDonald's, Coffee shop and a convenience store. We have large shaded area to throw down a picnic rug and enjoy the outdoors. So come down... on the following dates for the school holiday Miniature Train run. 25.01.2022 PLEASE SHARE TO SPREAD THE WORD!!! So an exciting event for the Miniature Train club this weekend!!! We are have a 2 day public run, that's right 2 DAYS IN A ROW!!! We will be operating on the 29th and 30th of April from 10am-2pm both days with an open invitation to all of the Mackay and surrounding areas to come and soak up some sunshine, fresh air and play Trains. This weekend we have sent invitations out to other clubs around Queensland to join us while we play trains. Thi...s is the weekend to see more styles of Trains including steam locos then usual. We only have this great event with visiting trains once a year so great opportunity to come down and check them out. Cost is still only a gold coin donation per ride and closed in shoes must be worn. So come and support our Clubs biggest day with a inexpensive family fun train ride. You won't be disappointed!!! See you all there!!!

We have 3 Public Runs coming up over the next few weeks!! 1st Run - Sunday the 7th of April from 10am-2pm... 2nd Run - Wednesday the 10th of April from 10am-2pm 3rd Run - Wednesday the 17th of April from 10am-2pm We still ask for a gold coin donation to ride and closed in shoes when riding. We are busy oiling, greasing and maintaining the trains, wagons and tracks for the public runs. Please support our organisation by bring the family down to Muller Park at Ooralea to ride the 5inch scale model trains. It’s for the young and the young at heart.

In line with the advice from the Federal Government in relation to the COVID 19 virus, The Miniature Train in Mackay will be closing until further notice. The following events will be cancelled.... Private Birthday Parties Monthly Public Sunday Runs School Holiday Public Runs We do apologise for any inconvenience this may have caused as we align to the social distancing required and the importance of minimising social events . Come and see the miniature trains running on our portable track at Col Story Park tonight for the West Mackay Rotary Fair. Every year on the first weekend in May, the Miniature Train Club invites other club members from around the state to come to a 2 day public run. This means not only do we have a 2 DAY PUBLIC RUN, we will have some trains that don't usually appear on our railway circuit. We will be operating on Saturday the 30th of April and Sunday the 1st of May. Times are from 10am-2pm and just a gold coin d...onation and closed in shoes to ride. Unfortunately as this public Miniature Train falls on Easter Sunday (1st April), we will not be running due to a lack of volunteers. 15.01.2022 THANKS MACKAY AND SURROUNDINGS!!! We are so immensely grateful for all the support our local community are giving the Miniature Train Club!!! We are able to run our events because of every gold coin donation placed by all of you, which allows us to maintain our Trains and track for the public running days and birthday parties. We are having our last school holiday run this Wednesday the 5th of July from 10-2. All the usual conditions apply such as closed in shoes and a gold... coin donation per ride. We hope you can all make it down to Muller Park at Ooralea for our last run in July and enjoy the beautiful Mackay weather and enjoy a Miniature Train ride. We have been invited to set up our portable track to run at the St Mary's Xmas Fair this Saturday night the 12th of November. Closed in shoes are still required to ride the train and cost is $3 per ride. So come and support St Mary's by coming to this great event with rides, Jumping Castle and a Ham Wheel as well. It's as cheap as $75 for hire of a train for 30 kids or under for 2hours of non stop train rides. We run on Saturdays on either 10-12, 12-2, 2-4 time frames. It's as simple as message this page with your details and date and we will confirm your booking. Spaces are limited and with council BBQ facilities and a playground that... the kids can use next to Muller Park it really is a great option for kids parties. You can bring tables chairs and food to cater to your needs. So drop us a message so we can make your next kids function exciting and fun for everyone.

08.01.2022 We are back in business!!!!!!! The Covid Safe plans have been approved and we are in full mtce lockdown for the Miniature Trains to start running and taking bookings for private functions only from the 8th of May. 2 party’s per 2 hour time slot. Times are 10-12, 12-2 and 2-4. Cost is $90 for the 2 hour session which assigns 1 train consist to your party. 50 people maximum per booking.... We have a Covid safe checkin, hand sanitisers to ride and when exiting as well as a full clean of all touch points in the trains after each ride. Number of passengers are also limited per ride. Nevertheless, we are back and ready to play trains again!!! Thanks everyone for your patience in waiting and for abiding by our Covid safe plans!! See you soon!!!

08.01.2022 Hello everyone!! I sincerely hope that everyone come through the cyclone safe and well. I know a lot are without power so if you can spread the word to anyone that might have been coming. Just an update regarding the Miniature Train Club. We have had a large amount of debris fall in the park and will require our volunteers to cleanup before we can run. So this weekends Sunday Public run will be cancelled. Sorry for any inconvenience this has caused. We will be running both We...dnesday's of the school holidays which is the 5th and 12th of April from 10-2. See you all next Wednesday

We will be back next month bigger and better so hopefully waiting times won't be as long.... I hope all the dads out there had a great Father's Day. 03.01.2022 Happy New Year Mackay !! Miniature trains are dusting the cobwebs, cleaning the track and mowing the lawn (when the rain stops) for another year of fun. We are hoping to be running for the first time in 2020 this Sunday the 2nd of February. Location is the track at our beautiful Muller Park, Ooralea. Cost is a gold coin donation per ride and closed in shoes must be worn. ... If your news years resolution was to spend more time outdoors with the family then our Miniature train Club is the place for you. We will be firing up at 10am and running till 2pm. Well with the beginning of the School brings extra public runs at the Miniature Train park. So this Wednesday the 30th of March we will be running the trains from 10am-2pm. Bring the family a gold coin donation and closed in shoes and head down to Muller Park at Ooralea. We will be having Mr Skippy come along for the event with some fresh soft serve deli...cious ice cream. It really is a lot of fun for whole family and anyone can ride which is why it's great!!! We will also be operating this Sunday and next Wednesday at the same time and same place. HOPE TO SEE EVERYONE THERE!!
