20.01.2022 Frankie and Archer have been designing patterns and pictures during Quiet Time today Archer has made a rocket and his big brother Leo and Frankie has created a picture of herself and her dad

15.01.2022 Outdoors this morning our main activities were coloured water with the water wheels, we filled up our mini jugs and had races to see how fast we could make the wheels spin. We also had a painting experience with thick brushes. Frankie made a rainbow, then folded her paper in half and pressed the pages together, then opened it making a beautiful pattern. Archer did lots of blending making small circular strokes, then copied Frankie's lead folding his paper in half and reveali...ng a mirrored design. Taytum made a picture for her dad and again copied Frankie and Archer, folding her paper in half. Oskar made lots of circular patterns on his page, using all 8 colours and then folded his paper revealing some creative art See more

07.01.2022 We've been very involved in learning about magnets lately so today we got out some different ones including balls and wands. It was very exciting learning that the magnet balls would stick to the wands even when upside down. Frankie tells me "I'm doing magic" Learning about magnets and positive and negative force allows children to explore with problem solving and trial and error.

06.01.2022 We are starting this Thursday morning with a hide and seek game, using small nets we are scooping and hunting for the hidden water beads underneath all those bubbles. We are doing lots of counting as we count the giant water beads and plop them back into the bubbles to find them again. There are lots of colours and Frankie even found a purple one "This is my favourite one!" She tells her peers.... Now the hunt is on to find Frankie more purple water beads We have lots of caring friends here at Mini Miners

05.01.2022 Everyday I get asked for the "Teddy Song". Today we had four caped crusaders wanting to show their mum's and dad's their beautiful dancing

05.01.2022 We have a huge love of literacy here at Mini Miners and in the past few days our book "What's My Colour?" Has been the absolute favourite As we read through the book, we come across all sorts of animals with no colour and we have to guess what colour they will be when we slide out the panel. But right at the end of the story we meet a Chameleon that is all of the colours This morning we painted our very own colourful Chameleons and don't they look amazing!
