22.10.2021 My breastfeeding journey has been an interesting one to say the least. When McKenna was first born my milk came in within 24 hours and engorged my boobs terribly. I was told by so many to not pump in the first month, to not give a pacifier or a bottle among many other do’s and dont’s. I decided to go with my gut and do what I FELT was best. So I started to pump immediately allowing for a nice stock pile. That was my first win. Secondly, as my nipples started to crack beca...use her latch was so strong I tried every cream and home remedies. Eventually, I found one that worked but what really saved my nipples was a nipple shield until they healed. That was my second win. I also gave her a bottle at night using Comotomo baby bottles and she has never had any confusion. Talk about a big win on that one! What I found was that I did what I felt was best instead of just going by what everyone else said and here I am 3 months later and breastfeeding is now a breeze. I have continued to stock pile my milk and easily transition between bottle and boob allowing for me to make easy trips to the store and getting a good nights rest.
