25.01.2022 ***job opening*** The bakery is looking for someone who has a keen interest or is passionate about sweet produce, specifically the decoration of cakes and slices. Experience in the decoration of cakes and slices is desirable and advantageous, however not essential as there will be on the job training to achieve competency and confidence.... The casual position is a minimum of 15 hours (3 days a week) up to 25 hours in peak times, on weekdays only. If you have genuine interest in the ‘decoration of sweet produce’ then please either drop in your resume at the bakery or contact me Lisa on email [email protected] attaching your resume and we can discuss further job requirements and specifics. 25.01.2022 We are COVID-19 safe - our plan is in place Our dining-in area seating and standing allows for 20 persons (staff excluded) maximum, therefore we can only have 10 seated at any given time and 10 in the queue. This is not a business or personal or staff decision, it is the government of South Australias implementation that we are 100% enforcing, we do not wish to be fined $5,000 for any breach of the COVID-19 plan. ... So, we ask each and every customer to help us out by being aware of your surroundings when in the bakery and/or entering the bakery and if you are in a group of more than 2, we suggest you send in 1 person of your group to get the order. In peak times for coffee and hot drinks which at the moment is from the minute we open to the minute we close, you maybe asked by our staff to wait outside and we will serve your hot drink via the takeaway window. Please dress for the weather, at the moment its pretty chilly. Please do not argue or abuse our staff, they are only acting on direction from the COVID-19 plan. We cannot risk any breach as the potential if we do will be closure which is the un-thinkable Commonsense is also welcome and if you would like to sit and eat your and drink your then I would recommend eating before 1130 and after 2pm, this will most likely see you sitting inside in the warm. Lunchtime is obviously our craziest time where we serve mostly takeaways. It’s 6 days, it’s not forever, just 6 little days to stay home to help stop the spread. 1 in all in so we have made the hard decision to close our doors for 6 days as we other than bread which can be purchased from any open supermarket are not essential. I believe if you are to stay home, stay home, no temptation of visiting a bakery will do any of us any good. ... 14.01.2022 SA we have done well so well that the early lifting of some restrictions means as of Monday 1st June you can come inside, stay inside and enjoy your coffee and goodies in the warm. There are still limits on how many, which means we will have to remove a couple of tables and chairs to keep the safe distancing rule and we kindly ask that you keep your visit inside to an acceptable time to allow other customers to thaw out over a coffee and pie In preparation for Monday ...and for us to be able to open up our inside dining, satisfied we are offering a sanitised space, we will close at 330pm on Friday and re-open on Monday 730am allowing us the weekend to get the dining area spik spok. We truly appreciate all our customers near and far for all your support and understanding what has been the most challenging time we have had as business owners. 09.01.2022 We and all our awesome staff would like to wish all our customers near and far a very happy new year and thank you for your support throughout 2020 and we welcome you all back in 2021 for an even better year. The year of 2020 has been (we are not going to lie) the most difficult and stressful time of running our family bakery, but we wouldn’t be here if it wasn’t for our hard working staff who have been there by our sides every step of the way making sure that we survived th...e first and second wave which included a 4 day lockdown. So, we thank our staff for believing in us and staying with us when times got tough, and working above and beyond to make sure we were open and ready for when the (false alarm) lock down ended early. The time has come for a well earned drink and we wish everyone to take time and reflect on 2020 taking the positives into 2021. Happy new year

08.01.2022 ***UPDATE - FOR THURSDAY 19th NOVEMBER 2020 ONLY AND THEN WE WILL BE CLOSED*** We are trading as per advice from the Baking Association of Australia (BAA) therefore no breaches are being made. After speaking with our head baker, it appears we have plain and all flavour sour dough ready to bake off in the morning. Now we do not want to waste our freshly baked sour dough, so our bakers will be heading in tomorrow to bake off the sour dough plus a quantity of white sandwich loa...ves - essential food item. In light of this, we will be open from 9 to 12pm, strictly 3 hours for sale of: Sour dough White sandwich loaves We also have plenty of cold pies and pasties, sausage rolls, kranskys, spinach slice that we can also sell for you to stock up in the freezer for the next 6 days. It will help us to reduce product waste as we only have so much freezer space and we are slowly filling it up. We are not serving meals and we will NOT have any other products other than listed above for sale. We ask that only 1 person from a family and/or couple come into the bakery. Please adhere to the 1.5m distancing rule and you must be wearing a mask. Please be kind and tolerate of everyone during this unknown way of life EFTPOS and CASH accepted. Experience in hospitality desirable but not essential. Barista trained or has a keen interest in becoming qualified. Cheery disposition, hard worker and MUST be reliable.... Rotational roster which is flexible. Able to work all shifts and some Saturdays maybe requires to work to cover days off and holiday periods. We can offer from minimum 11hrs to maximum 25hrs. 03.01.2022 The feeling of survival through the most toughest time Luke, myself and all our bakery team have had to deal with is accomplished and determined We are not out of the woods just yet, however we got through (hopefully) the worst of the COVID-19 and we move into the first phase of lifting the restrictions by bringing back outside dining, observing the 1.5m social distancing rule. We look forward to having our customers return to sitting at our outside tables and chairs, boy h...ave we missed you. Soon, you will be able to return inside where its warm, perfect timing for winter knocking on the door. Being an essential food premise employing 18 staff members, the option to close was never an option and at no point during the pandemic did the government advise bakeries to close, so we took a chance, stayed open, operated as normal (as we could) and thank goodness we did because we are here still producing our award winning pies, pasties, sausage rolls, bread, sour doughs the list goes on and not forgetting our beautiful shop girls who have utilised their opportunity of coming to work to get their social fix whilst in isolation by serving you our yummy food and awesome tasting barista made coffee for the last 9 weeks. We pray that we do not enter a 2nd wave of COVID-19, so please to all of our awesome customers near and far, please continue to observe the 1.5m distancing and utilise the hand sanitiser station at the entrance of the bakery. Thank you to all our customers for your continued support throughout this pandemic, without your returning custom we would most certainly be in a different position to where we are now.
