24.01.2022 Found this wonderful echidna down by the dam today. Unlike most echidna this one didn't bury himself in the dirt while we were looking, he just went about his business of looking for food.

22.01.2022 What a difference a few months make. First photo of our farm at the height of the drought in April and now 6 months later in October everything all green. Feel sorry for those not far away who are still struggling.

21.01.2022 Magnificent rainbow over our dairy this afternoon, let hope its a sign of better weather to come. Been so cold these last couple of days.

20.01.2022 Managed to get a much better photo of these two magnificent copperhead snakes today.

19.01.2022 With Spring almost here I think its going to be a ripper. This my multi species pasture just before grazing and with cows on it today. Got to say they seem very contented.

16.01.2022 Best summer for a decade or more. Cows are happily wandering through the flowers. Yeah, I know cows don't eat sunflowers but threw a handful of bird seed in the mix just because I could. They look nice out in the paddock.

16.01.2022 Pretty gross here today with all the smoke from the East Gippsland bush fires being blown down this way today. Got to feel for the people caught in the middle of it all.

15.01.2022 Something we have waiting a long while for at Minnieburn Springs is for the Koala's to return. Today we were delighted to see this young female koala walking across a paddock towards one of our wildlife corridors. In the past 20 years we have seen, Wallabies, Wombats, Kangaroos, Echidnas, Platypus and now Koalas make a return to our farm. We are so proud to have all this unique Australian wildlife co existing with our farming operations at Minnieburn Springs.

15.01.2022 The stars are bright tonight over our robot dairy.

14.01.2022 Something you don't get to see everyday, not one but TWO Copperhead snakes sunning themselves together. I'm guessing the one on the left was the male as he was BIG, probably twice the size of the female on the right. Tiger snakes are more common around here than Copperheads which are reasonably docile compared to the Tigers.

13.01.2022 Didn't think the smoke from the fires could get much worse than it was the other day, but I was wrong. We are around 200km from the fires and the smoke is so bad it hurts the eyes. Visibility is about 150metres. It's crazy but it's also raining, which has filled our rainwater tanks with smokey water, which is YUCK to drink.

11.01.2022 On a terribly cold, wet and miserable day, cows are lined up and desperate to get into robot to be milked and get some pellets.

04.01.2022 This is a time lapse of our robot in action, two hours of operation compressed down to three minutes.

01.01.2022 After 30 years of tree planting at Minniburn Springs I have to say I'm pretty pleased with the results. This video follows the Minneburn Creek and nearly all the trees with the exception of a few old remmnant trees were planted during that time. If you were one of the people who helped out at some stage with the planting I hope you enjoy seeing the results of your hard work.
