22.01.2022 Except for doctors, maybe no one comes as physically close to their clients as hairdressers and beauticians/Therapists. I literally get in your face. Now amid the coronavirus pandemic, I wonder how I can abide by one of the most fundamental means of protection social distancing? Recommending that people keep a distance of 1.5m from others to avoid spreading or catching the virus .. this will be a tad bit hard to do when I’m trimming a person’s hair or waxing a moustache ...or two. He he he. I shall be vigilant on sanitizing surfaces between clients & using paper coffee cups. One thing I do ask clients is if you have a cough, cold or a fever, flu like symptoms of pneumonia caused by a possible virus, please message me to cancel for appointment. I guess Im asking people to stay away if sick. Or if you : A) You have returned from overseas in the past 14 days and you develop respiratory illness with or without fever B) You have been in close contact with a confirmed COVID-19 case in the past 14 days and you develop respiratory illness with or without fever C) You have severe community-acquired pneumonia and there is no clear cause D) You are a healthcare worker who works directly with patients and you have a respiratory illness and a fever All the best in social distancing and good hand washing for the good of our community. Business as usual until things get a bit hairy. We will take advice from Health professionals that advise us. Fingers crossed our community will be well and miss this outbreak. The likely place of exposure for 82 newly reported cases is under investigation.
