25.01.2022 As everyone would already be aware of the current situation with Covid 19, It was a little unclear if Golf would be able to proceed as normal. Well we can confirm Golf will go ahead as normal but you must wear a face mask while outside. The only time you may take your mask off is if you have food or a drink. ... We are very lucky to be able to have the course open and proceed as normal so please adhere to the rules and social distance with youre mask on. If you do not follow these very simple rules you will simply be asked to leave the golf course. Look forward to seeing everyone out on the course this week and enjoy it as much as possible as its 1 of very limited things we can do. Cheers.

25.01.2022 GOOD NEWS ========== Looks like the girls will be first up we when possibly open on Wednesday. We just need to confirm temporary regulations with Golf Australia, check with President/committee and course super.... Stay tuned......

24.01.2022 Unfortunately we have gone from whats the best hole on the course to having kids on push bikes deciding this is great place for skids. If anyone has seen any kids riding bikes around the 12th tee box and 16th green could you please contact the golf club. Our Greenskeeper (who is currently away this week) will be very disappointed coming back to this. As will all members playing. ... So many hours and hard work go into the course, especially through this very wet and tough winter. We have been so lucky to have all holes in such great condition with hard work being put in. Any information please contact the club.

19.01.2022 Some great news for all members with some new regulations and rules taking place from 11:59pm Wednesday the 16th of September. (Tonight) Golf Australia has confirmed with the DHHS Website and recommends the following for all clubs in regional Victoria. - Groups of 4 can return to playing together... - Club competitions can recommence Social distancing, face masks, COVID documents and all other rules still stand in place. Some great news for regional Victorians. 26 degrees Saturday and the course is in unbelievable condition for how wet it has been. Look forward to seeing all members out on the course and enjoying what looks like a great weekend ahead with the weather. 16.01.2022 TOMORROW some young local members are taking on the longest day challenge. 72 holes of golf raising money for the Cancer Council. They have almost raised $3000 dollars which is a huge effort. ... Thanks to all who have donated to such a great cause and to the young fellas for taking on the challenge. If you haven’t already donate a couple of dollars and let’s get the team over $3000.

16.01.2022 Hi all, A lot of rain around and the course is very wet. If you dont desperately need a golf cart then we please ask for you to walk for your round tomorrow. If you do use a cart we ask that you stay to the side of all fairways, stick to the signs and paths and stay away from greens. Park your cart on the side of the fairway and walk to youre ball. ... The course is still in great condition so lets keep it that way with doing all the right things. Also follow the local rules on the board and remember to follow all COVID rules. This will require walking 72 holes which will be around a 45k walk for the day. 10.01.2022 This Saturday will be our monthly medal tournament with a bit of extra spice on the side with bragging rights for either the footballers or golfers. How this will work: If you are a footballer or are a part of a club and wish to jump on the footballers side then simply write Footballer on the top of your card. All Monthly Medal stroke scores will be as per normal and these stableford scores will be added up off your cards when handed in to the Golf Club. ... Scores will be added up and divided by the amount of players each side has playing. Good luck to both sides and lets hope we have plenty of players on the course!

06.01.2022 Hi all, Been great to see so many players out and about on the course since the new regulations. Everyone following all the rules as required to keep a safe and happy place. ... A couple in house things still happening around the club which is great to see. Make sure all the carts stick to designated tracks with the rain around and try to keep off the fairways. Good luck all and remember If you think its hard to meet new people, try picking up the wrong golf ball.

04.01.2022 Hi all Today there has been a small break through for the club. As many would know the Mirboo North Golf Course is rated at 117 for men and 116 for ladies and most would agree that the course is actually a lot harder than the rating suggests. ... Golf Australia have now re calculated the course from 2014 to now and have come back with our new course rating. Men was 117 NOW will be 122. Ladies was 116 NOW will be 121. All players will most likely gain half a shot or a full shot from here on. For tomorrows events could everyone please mark there scores and putts off your current handicap and when you submit your cards Mal Payne will update the cards into the system for the new rating. Well done everyone on this and good luck to all playing tomorrow.

All golfers must practice Dept of Health Physical Distancing regulations. Limitations and rules are in place which will be displayed on the club notice board. Please read prior to play, by playing you are agreeing to abide by the rules. Failure to follow rules may threaten the reopening of the course as well as the health of others.
