25.01.2022 The first step to avoiding or managing prolapse is recognising the signs and know what causes it/makes it worse. A great blog from Women's Health Physio, Sue Croft explaining just that. Have a wonderful Friday. #pelvicfloorfriday

20.01.2022 Always breathe out at the hardest part of the exercise - and then transfer that into everyday life! Lifting kids, baby seats, washing, closing the garage door etc.... Exhale on exertion!! Thank you Pelvic Floor Exercise!

18.01.2022 Using imagery cues can help you connect to your pelvic floor. Thinking about the movement of a jellyfish is one way to visualise the activation of your pelvic floor muscles. If you are still unsure, visit your Womens Health Physio for a more accurate assessment. #Pelvicfloorfriday
17.01.2022 Isla Fisher: My favourite feature is my stomach. Even though it will never be flat again, its still my favourite because it reminds me of my greatest achievement: my babies.

14.01.2022 This is my body. This not a before picture. This is not an after picture.... This just happens to be what my body looks like on a random Tuesday in December of 2015 it's a LIFE picture. This is a body that loves protein and vegetables and queso and ice cream. This is a body that loves bent presses and pull-ups and deadlifts and sleep. This is a body that has been abused with fast food and late nights and stress. This is a body that has been pushed to the brink of leanness in figure competitions and maximum strength in powerlifting meets. This is a body that begged for mercy when it was diagnosed with Hashimoto's and PCOS. This is a body that has been called: - too fat - too thin - too masculine - too strong - too weak - too big - too skinny ...all within the same week. This body has been publicly evaluated, judged, and criticized, and those judgments have been used to determine my level of skill as a coach and a trainer, and my worth as a person, both positively and negatively. Some people say they would "kill to have this body." Others say they would "kill themselves if they had this body." (Yes, unfortunately that's actually a thing humans say to one another.) This is a body that I spent too much time, energy, and mental space wishing would look differently. And today? Today this is a body that is loved, adored, and cherished by the only person whose opinion matters ME. This is the first year in as long as I can remember that I have made NO resolutions to change the way my body looks. This is a kind of freedom I didnt think Id ever experience, and it feels really, really good. #GirlsGoneStrong #GGS #Mindset #Perspective #Autonomy

09.01.2022 I'm fairly confident that most of us are sick of fad fitness programs. I've been there - who can stick to something where you have no help, and you're left to do it on your own? And let's not get into the fact that they are not personalised to your body, your needs and your health. Mishfit is over the moon to offer you our new program - EVEolution. ... Train with fitness professionals who care for you as an individual, and who want to give you the best that we can possibly offer. Join the revolution!
09.01.2022 Your baby's stem cells are found in csection scars (and I am sure perineal scars too). This is about the amazing science of microchimerism...the stems cells we ...absorb from our babies during all pregnancies. It's also what switches the stems on to healing versus irritating that is intriguing. I can't but help think our relationship to ourselves, our bodies and them could influence that switch. http://www.thebump.com/a/science-says-its-time-to-love-your

07.01.2022 It's Pelvic Floor Friday! Pelvic floor training needs to start early in life. The toileting habits we develop as kids can lay the foundations for the rest of our lives. How often do we tell our children to go to the toilet before a car ... trip just in case? How often do your kids tell you they held on to a number 2 all day because they dont want to use their school toilets?! The Continence Foundation of Australia have a brilliant little pack called the Toilet Tactics Kit, that helps educate not only parents but schools on how to foster healthy toilet habits from a young age. Packed full of tips on what to do and what not to do, can really help improve a childs self-esteem and confidence with toilet time and is the perfect start to maintaining a healthy pelvic floor for life. #Pelvicfloorfriday http://www.continence.org.au/p/-toilet-tactics-kit-411.html

06.01.2022 It's pelvic floor Friday!!! Some women don't do their pelvic floor exercises, because they think that "the damage is done - I can't help it now".... Wrong! You totally can help! With just a little effort (it really is just a little!) to remember your exercises, you can be on your way to a stronger pelvic floor today. ... Here are some other pelvic floor myths..... Busted!!!! #PFF #pelvicfloorfriday
