17.01.2022 It feels a bit odd posting a cake photo when there is so much about our daily lives that has changed in a very short time, and no doubt will continue to change. However, I thought maybe just a little bit of happiness might be nice in amongst all the disconnect and sadness currently in our world. I have quite a few cake photos still to post - all made over the last couple of weeks. Obviously, cake and bikkie orders have slowed considerably, so I am taking the opportunity... to have a well earned break as well as give my home a massive spring clean, reorganise my pantry and the fun part - testing some new recipes and learning new skills. I hope everyone stays safe and well in these challenging times.

17.01.2022 Grace and Sam were recently married in Warwick on an afternoon that saw the city receive more rain than we've had in near 30 years. Quite ironic really given the couple reside in Darwin and were wanting to avoid the monsoon season. Cake delivery took a bit of split second timing getting into the venue without drowning or worse still dropping the cake in a sea of water. Cake as well as bikkies for the wedding buffet all survived the ordeal. @ Warwick, Queensland

08.01.2022 This week I had a bit fun, just to lighten the mood, and made these goodies for @the_weeping_mulberry Emergency worker cakes (chocolate mud with chocolate ganach), individual toilet roll cakes (sticky date with caramel sauce) and toilet paper bikkies (vanilla shortbread) I did second runs of everything as they sold out quickly....seems that amidst all the dreariness there is still a laugh to be had @ Warwick, Queensland

05.01.2022 A belated Happy Mothers Day to all the mums out there. I hope everyone enjoyed a beautiful day celebrated as best you could given the current restrictions. Just wanted to give a huge THANK YOU to everyone who ordered bikkie boxes, bouquets and cupcakes through the @the_weeping_mulberry The orders were overwhelming so not a great deal of sleep was had last week . However, it was all worth it to know that a lot of mums got to enjoy some delicious treats on their special day.
