25.01.2022 FYI. It is WA Police, Racing Gaming & Liquor & Company policy that ALL patrons present valid ID regardless of their age upon being requested to do so. Under the Liquor Act 1995 - The following documents are the only forms of identification that can be accepted by a licensee.... - A current Australian drivers licence with a photograph; - A current passport; - A current Australian learners driver permit with photograph; - WA Proof of Age Card (note new cards ceased being issued on 1/1/2015); - Proof of Age card or equivalent issued in an Australian state or territory; - A current WA Photo Card; - A current NSW Photo Card; - A Photo Card issued by any Australian state or territory similar to the NSW/WA Photo Card. - A hard copy of the Keypass card issued by Australia Post. - A current international drivers license or proof of age accepted by our "Scannet" Terminal. The Following IDs are not accepted. - A WA or other state or territory Approved Managers Card. - A drivers license, passport or proof of age card more than 30 days expired. - A Community Driving license or Drivers license that has been issued in the form of a piece of paper. - A working with childrens check ID card. - A working at heights, confined spaces or other work related ID card. - A Security clearance ID card (aviation air-side operations or other) This is to ensure the following: 1. The safety of all patrons on site in the event of an emergency 2. If an incident takes place we can notify the police or relevant authoritys and have the correct identity. 3. Ensure the people entering our venue are not on the "Prohibited / banned" Drinkers Register. 4. The policy & our "Scannet" system is the only way we can operate after midnight. 5. Proof of age of a Patron. We are committed to making the Walkabout Hotel & Mistys Night Club safe for everyone. Management & Security also reserve the right under the liquor licensing act; to refuse any person without reason entry or service to the premise and its immediate vicinity. failing to comply with any given direction is deemed to be committing an offence and penaltys apply including Fines of up-to $10,000.00 & Prohibition to our venue and other venues in WA. Further to this, if you fail to comply with any given direction or instruction from Management, Security or Staff; and where Police or other authorities maybe involved you will be barred from entering and or remaining on our property and immediate vicinity for a period of time as handed down by Management. 23.01.2022 We are always looking for ways to improve the night life in Hedland and the Club in General. Please comment below of anything in particular we could do as a club and Venue entirely or something that we could change that you would like to see happen in the new year! We will take everyones ideas on board and hopefully make them come to fruition... (From December 27th we will be offering the FREE Shuttle Service Bus again. Running at Regular set times from both... Port & South Hedland to the Walkabout & Return. This service will run from Dedicated Pick up points in and around Port and South Hedland at designated times indicated on the Map that we will be publishing. However for large groups, booked functions or at special pre planned requests; the bus will be available at your specific arranged time and location. We are returning this service to help all people within the community so you can Eat, Drink, Play & Stay to enjoy all aspects of our Venue without having to spend extra money on Taxis & not have to worry about leaving your vehicle at the venue or have to Drive home after those few glasses of Chardonnay.. . This revised service is also forming part of a new Safe Alcohol & Gaming within the Community Strategy that Management are working on). Please, Remember to Rethink your Drink.
